It has rained all night
and here in this pause
the morning takes breath
beneath a clear sky.
It will not last long
as already thick clouds
are creeping in
from the south,
their dark loads sagging
with wet weight.
I too take breath
in this brief pause,
look up to see a pale moon
caught in daylight
and framed within
a tiny patch of blue.
It seems like a faded
photograph of a loved one
lit by a moment
before being resealed
inside a locket.
( For Lin Lane fellow lover of the moon )
confirming strong faith
resealed by Holy Ghost’s grace
rising in Christ’s light

Like steam arising from a pot
and floating by this grassy field,
the morning mist concealed the plot.
I could not find the thing I sought
because with mist it was concealed,
like steam arising from a pot.
I tried to find, but I could not;
my sightless eyes by fog were sealed.
The morning mist concealed the plot.
Encircling seas of white I fought,
as drops within the air congealed,
like steam arising from a pot.
Then, as I stood there, lost in thought
away from there the sunlight peeled
the morning mist that concealed the plot;
And through the veil the thing I sought
a moment showed, and then resealed
like steam arising from a pot;
the morning mist concealed the plot.

Beating Blood
Strangled by the pain of the bitterness within me
Blinded by the jealousy and resentment as I try to flee
Burdened by the weight of never ending wants and needs
Hungered by the blood lust as the animal inside me breeds
Forgotten and damned by the hand that healed
Withdrawing as the animosity in me becomes unconcealed
My stomach wrenches as the agony coils up inside my being
Shaken am I as I transform into the eyes of the unseeing
The heart within the hollow chest no longer feels
Murdered by the anguish and the concrete resealed
Beating blood, it supplies the veins
As I keep the beast unwillingly restrained
Sadness has come to steal
The moment that time has to reveal;
Until life becomes gradually futile
With depression that creates a nil.
Words have made one to feel
The love that has long been sealed,
But the risk has brought an ill
Response that almost killed…
Oh, heart that made love to spill
Over a gift from uphill;
Mistakes that never dominate what’s real,
Yet dilemma has allowed this to happen still.
Perchance hope never will
Give chance to a dying steel;
What fate could it ever deal?
Nothing but sorrow for the love resealed.
