With varying degrees of intensity,
my internal war rages on.
Freedom of choice vs. obligation to others,
a conflict that’s been fought since time’s dawn.
The battle requires a decision to be made
that personal responsibility must mediate.
Choosing a position to take is juxtaposed
to choosing a position to abdicate.
The skirmish renews each morning,
since the tempest percolates whilst I sleep.
There’s no option that involves fleeing
because the repercussion would echo too deep.
I long for a palatable solution,
which could usher in welcomed peace.
But my internal war will continue raging on,
'til I find an existential release.

Should we have walked six miles instead of two?
What else were I to do?
Bowed down and raging
Fuming in our cages
I left it all to you
You wield your power
and I could only cower
to the fear of losing
With you I'm always losing
How awful the decline
Fanfare to jeers
Running into the fears
Stayed by the friend
The cause of my end
They don't know your ache
Torn between familiarity and desire
A lustful spiral
Why is it all dark when it's supposed to be black?
I am better than your lack
Now faraway and mending
You opt to continue what I've ended
The unspoken is so loud
between every line
every pause
never innocent, this cause
I fell here but not far
I pained here but not broken
I wear the stain of what belongs to you
Freedom in manhood
to feast without repercussion
I, scourged for fighting battles
only I know I've won
Because with you I'm always losing
but you're the lost one

Skin Deep
Tissue,pigmented black,brown or white,
All equal in the creator's sight;
However shaded,each membrane kin,
Merely a cover,layered thin.
Purely an accident of birth,
Never a value of our worth;
Customs,culture our true divide,
Ignorance its willing guide.
Tastes,mores,attitudes
Provoking reponses,crude and rude;
Manners,conventions,traditional ties,
The crux upon which all difference lies.
Repercussion and backlash,we reap
If our thinking stays skin deep.

My Thoughts
Miracle Man
Financial Independence
comes from a constant monitoring of set goals,
not trying to keep up with the Jones’s,
and always with an eye on continuous self improvement.
Working hard & smart, saving,
then doing your own due diligence before investing.
God will bless your efforts.
Financial Independence gives you a voice and confidence
to speak your mind without fear of repercussion.
It will make a knight out of someone’s pawn.

“He would progress toward retrogression.”
Such brought to my mother’s heart confusion…
Though fearful with its grievous repercussion
I trusted the Lord for His compassion.
Hope glowed midst special child’s diagnosis
Radiating optimistic prognosis...
Shown now in his wellness-analysis
Reigning God’s goodness of grace-synthesis.
As he drives himself along wheelchair zest
I’m humbled by divine miracles best
Surmounting my doubts, checking faith midst test
Thanking Saviour’s healing* to the fullest.
Luke 9:11 “And the people, when they knew it, followed him (Jesus Christ): and he received them, and spake unto them of the kingdom of God, and healed them that had need of healing.”

Verity
Telling the truth to people close to you
is a difficult feat, the accusations and repercussion
can be dire.
When you puncture the picture where they see
themselves as helpful people.
The unvarnished truth is they will rob you blind
and expect you to be grateful.
Those who were your friend will not help you
for them, assistance have a pecuniary aspect,
If you let the trespasses against you slide, you will
think of yourself as a coward; and those who were
your friends will feel contemptuous of you.

Suzette never meant to hurt anyone but she does for she is enchanted.
Although young, she was turned into an elder-looking crone by a poltergeist.
Halloween spells have been flung about and she has raved and ranted.
She is as helpless as a polar bear who has been frozen and iced.
What did I do? She implores her wizened black cats, wanting the truth.
Asking them, there was no repercussion, no strive, no cost.
The fact is, the poltergeist was jealous because she could say-sooth.
She wandered her days, looking old, feeling confused and lost.

Captive to the rainstorm
Riding the glaring lightening flare
Blistering the silent egg shaped moon
Tearing open the limitless midnight sky
Flashing with the vengeance
Of fierce exquisite white gold
Splitting the whirlwind atmosphere
With the perfection of stillness
Transpiring with the serrated shape
Of its jagged naked energy
Thundering within turbulent caverns
Of the bowels of the universe
Crashing like brittle blasts
Pursued by crackling ghosts resounding
Screaming, striking the dormancy
Far into the opulent blanket of earth
Transposing the primal jolt of its deliverance
Like the swinging Hammer of Zeus
With such majesty and wild haste
Like the utter abandonment in the thrust of great force
Challenging my breath with its repercussion
Its rumination and countenance
Of my impaled soul!

Hatred is simply a fractious bug on the brain
which doesn't always wash away with the rain
that is neither the rain of love nor that of homily
But if you solemnly profess belief
in the God right above
let this even to atheists be relief
that God only means love
for no religion preaches hatred to man or family
The wronged wishing to be placated
The tortured wishing to be avenged
Embittered humans provoked to evil hatred
forgetting we are all but Adam's progeny, one kindred
Alas, hatred's a scenario that so costs humanity
Most of us are tired of hearing
of this cause and effect' circle of violence and repercussion
Why wilfully make yourself a target and fall in lasting perdition?
We don't wanna hear the hate crimes is a virus
that has no earthly cure
Since compassion is a vaccine to
prevent it for sure
Yet some might think this is easy to sing and easy to say
Gosh, but don't the world need
more die-hard supporters of peace till judgement day?
Keep the peace and spread it.!!
Do your bit, come use your wit.
Swat and squash the hate bug from your mind and heart
Promote love and compassion even with words and art

The meaning of “emergency”
Should not require discussion.
Ignoring one, you’d think, would have
An instant repercussion.
Today, though, some “emergencies”
Are not what we once thought.
A hospital ER is filled
With those where scrips are sought…
Or diagnoses which, before,
The office of a doc
Would be the place where patients
With a flu would likely flock.
The government “emergency”
Appears to me the same,
A non-dire situation
Called such merely to inflame.
A punishment is possible
For dialing 9-1-1
Reporting an “emergency”
When clearly, there is none.
The time has come for pols to act
With conscience as their guide,
Before a true emergency
The people will provide.

Hearing Caused Things to Be Clearing
What we had heard was after hearing,
Up all of the things could be clearing,
Further discussion;
No repercussion,
And conclusion soon would be nearing.

A refuge for some
A shelter, a home
A search for identity
An island of serenity
A way to make friends
Via heart, via pen
A forum for discussion
Without fear of repercussion
A magical journey of the mind
A place unique, one-of-a-kind
Of endless enchantment and fascination
Welcoming truth-seekers from every nation
Where everyone is part of the group

Do we ever think how rare life is?
Our planet is the only one in the universe that gives..
We are still polluting what we have in every way
Not realizing our beautiful planet would have to pay
Every inch of resources we consume
Should be treated like a rare flower that blooms
I wish we all could understand the repercussion
Before it is too late to stop this destruction
Savor every moment on this unusual sphere
Who knows when there is another big bang or asteroid to adhere.
So lets make a pact today on earth day
Our beautiful home we should not betray.
