Sonnet 9: What Would You Rather Be

Be an honest sinner
or a perfect fool?
A fearful worried repenter?
or a silent breaker of rules?

And verily all sons of Adam are sinners
The best of them are those who repent
God created everyone imperfect
The rules of His creation were for no man bent

When a lie is told, an odor will derive
Angels stay far from this stench that they hate
70 fornication sins are equivalent to one lie
Untruthfulness has an awful fate

The beauty of Islam is that hope for change persists
Therefore turn and repent for perfection on this dunya does not exist

God Gladly Enter

God Gladly Enter

I must pray, ask for forgiveness and be a repenter
And of all my attention allow God to be in center;
Urge me on;
Him pray upon;
Then into me and my being He will gladly enter.

Premium MemberRedemption For Sinner Man

the rise and fall
you've proven it all
Man, the sinner
your distance ways
your sinful ways
Man, the repenter
Now how you found grace
In such a short time, it's faith
thank you Father
for this a merited chance
redemption power
you've endowed, on us
redemption for sinner man
Alleluia, Jesus

Where Sould We Begin Long Horn Haiku

Where Sould We Begin Long Horn Haiku

Where should we begin?
When our blood is boiling thin
There are those that sin.

And th
en once upon
For president he did run
Some started to shun.

Had suffered from grief
Blacks had been in disbelief
Bernie our relief?

To pick have a bone
Lives in bubble of his own
Should leave him alone.

Saw a repenter
Attention at our center
Also a mentor.

She is flexible
Being irresistible
Also full of pull.

Of genius had stroke
Why should we have to be broke
More necks meant to choke.

Relief was in site
She's back in house that is white
Though may be in spite.

Had brought Bill along
No together they are strong
To whom does smell belong.

Like things Southern fried
Any other way would have lied
In White House abide.

When we saw it, took away our hearts
Near it is where we both wanted to be
Ended up building a house in River Sea.

Once or twice a week to Southport we go
And off the place always gladly show
What we do when we get there
Is have a lovely lady cut our hair.

Your poetry contest I'm sure to enter in
Do it over and over and again and again
And when I win on that great day
For another poetry contest to God will pray.

When We Should Want To

When We Should Want To

When we should want to stop all our sinning
Let God and Jesus be ending and beginning
Also of attention allow Them to be the center
And realize They will help us be a repenter.

Why should we want to do things all alone?
Be miserable by always casting first stone
Making wrinkles in water causing despair
And things that have been hard to bare.

Christ's body need not be carefully inspected
By His Father to heaven has been resurrected
Now we can stop selling all of ourselves short
And start seeking God's Son for His support.

Hands Extended

Hands Extended

For a while we will have to wait
Wondering what in life may be our fate
Which only God has complete control of
When I looked what we need is God's love

God please pick me up as I start to fall
And what is most bountiful beauty of all
Is God's son Christ who was resurrected
Each day by Them I should be inspected.

Organ's loud and often will get in way
So pretty piano should start to play
Bringing comfort and compassion to everyone
Just like many times the player has done

On my computer table again did look
And there was this "Crazy Christian" book
On front cover saw Bishop's hands extended
Now I knew exactly what he had intended

Look at the hope he has in each hand
As he preached sermon perfectly planned
What he said of discussion became the center
Which was live like a dreamer and be a repenter

Righteous Vassals

Immutable creatures that heaven tend
Excoriating evil, God's kingdom defend
Anthems of praise and adulation wend
Companions of eternal God their dividend

From divine footstool to earth descend
With harp and sword they attend
Righteousness and mirth portend
Corruption and vice to amend

With rouge spirits daily contend
Scouring earth's veil to apprehend
Profiteers and dictators that misery extend
To God's children without end

To the weak, downtrodden a friend
Comfort to the bereaved they lend
Answers to prayers they append
To the repenter, mercy will expend

The Reluctant Repenter

Say your prayers and sit up straight,
Get into that confessional box to wipe clean your slate.
Make sure you get all those wicked sins off your chest,
The lord will only welcome those who are wholesome and blessed.

In pitch black silence you sit, your final thoughts to gather
Before being shocked into repentant mode with a blast of “in the name of the
father..”
“How long has it been?” the priest enquires, he must know you will lie?
You take the first figure that pops into your head then you divide, not multiply!

Those awful sins that lay heavy on your heart,
From your reluctant mouth they slowly depart.
You tell of bouts of swearing and theft from mammys purse,
And stealing a bag of crisps from your sister, now what could be worse?

“That’s is all father” are 4 short words you triumphantly announce,
The priest mumbles some mystic latin verse then a Hail Mary to pronounce.
Finally your chore is done and you are asked to go in peace,
You gleefully skip out of the box and celebrate release!
