Choosing which shade of white,
drives most people up the wall.
There's at least
152 shades of white
to choose from.
Despite being well: "Just White"
It's the subtle hue, blah blah,
hubris and hoo-ha,
that comes to the fore.
White can be darker, lighter,
cooler or warmer,
extra bright or dim,
so so cool, boring or subdued.
"Wind's Breath", "Extra White"
"Moonlight White at Night".
How can you choose?
It's the paints position, lighting, shade
and context that makes
the decision so complex.
Any color tinge, even within plain stark white
Can evoke a profound emotional reaction.
“Pristine” whites feel frigid cold, like ice.
Tiny tints of yellow, orange and red
feel "happy", “warm” or “sunny.”
Subtle slurps of green or blue
feel "natural" and "homely".
But, beware my friend,
Never ever choose:
"Off White" or
"Shades of Gray"
Heaven Forbid!

I saw a house for sale that
Caught my eye and I
Was drawn to its
Magical feeling it felt mystical
While decorating and doing
Small renovations, I saw
A space on the wall that stood out
It was covered with wallpaper
And also boarded up so I
Tore down the boards and paper
And there was a beautiful window
Filled with bright colors so
I grabbed a towel to wipe
Off the dust, but it began
To glow, and then it pulled me inside

It's not about the now dull walls
Or the shiny tiles
Or the tinted glass on the windows
Or the sad-looking stairs
Or the new teak coffee table
Or the painted countertops
Or the new tawny couches
Or the jagged mosaic rag
None of that could make me leave
It just doesn't feel like home anymore

The House was featured on the T.V.
Celebrities put on hard hats
posed with sledge hammers.
It was said that the old structure
had ‘good bones’. What it did have
were walled-in nocturnal whispers
and a resident paranoia.
Interior decorators re-imagined rustic hues
a bohemian nest chic-est
Rooms were staged and displayed
yet beneath the contemporary
the old retold its history.
Much of the house was to be renovated
pastel and neutral colors
replaced flock and wainscots,
yet bricked-over alcoves
still dripped a dried red rust
of long held rumors.
The house concealed itself,
but its fiber and pith,
its conduits continued to throb-on
echoing an older heartbeat,
a retelling
of long unsolved crimes
thinly painted over.

Like the burning tree, resting on the clouds
The glow of the sun, hidden...flourishes
Mirrored waters, tween the tall grass-marsh, crowds
Before the night...when the sun perishes
Once caught, are the crabs of past generations
Like rabbits, how fast they come and they go
My fathers boat, beyond renovations
I can see him still...with oars he would row
Mom, at home waiting...for dad's buckets full
Waters boiling, nut crackers for the claws
Grandmother waits too...as she knits her wool
Waiting to eat crabs with her long jowl jaws
These days of old I will never forget
A shadow of time...my mind's silhouette

My Poetry my life
Them stanzas are my lines
They flow with time
They sail in storms like African Kites
My poetry My kind
It keeps me awake at night
Sometimes we argue and fight
I don't care about being Mr Right
As long as i have poetry i wont miss my flight
My poetry my best friend
The reason i believe I'm alive
The reason i keep searching for my wife
I keep it rolling like a dice
Together we have nothing to hide
My Poetry My cure
My mind has it to lure
It taught me that life without expectations is true
Believing it protected me from getting a flue
My poetry my Selection
An element to destinations
An answer to every Confusion
My whole life is filled with relaxation
My poetry My confession
No scars
Only Renovations
No worries
Only celebrations

Situated in the state of Odisha,
It still glorifies India's ancient era.
It was dedicated to the Sun God Surya,
Being one of the wonders of India.
Built in the form of a gigantic chariot,
It's exquisite stone sculptures captivate us a lot.
Unfortunately the main sanctum collapsed,
And it's exact reason is still in dark.
Renovations are periodically done to keep it upright,
The temple is an UNESCO World Heritage Site!

hello tombstone, kiss my Mother for me
tell her i never shed tears but emit celebratory smiles
ahhh, if only tombstones could talk
sometimes words are not there, but memories are,
but when that is not enough....so incomplete.....
hello ashkeeper, kiss my Mother for me
tell her that i never express fear but put on brave faces
ohhh, if only ashes had multiple facets
sometimes lies are minidevils allowed in for false therapy
but when that does not cut it....so unsatisfied....
hello cemetary, kiss my Mother for me
tell her i always value openness but tend to be closed frequently for renovations
aye, if only cemetaries could properly present
sometimes shields and shells are all i have for the comfort and safety of my self
but when that is no longer useful.....then what.....

I am never alive on a Smile's Journey
That is how I take pictures through views Spritually Presented
The Art through Her Eyes breathes rehabilitation into my wilted assurance
The Sun Shines reflecting perfectly in the Mirror of my Forward Motion
I swim in a sea of never before seen in scenes
that make make me feel a type of Serene
that positively effects the reilluminated sheen
that feels so invigorating, crisp and clean
The Beautification of the Waters Power of Upliftment is like YES!!!!!
in extraordinary snowflakes of Profound Exclamatories.....
She looks Alive in Her Resurrection Sundress,
and She sows the seeds of Light Renewed
Omission and oblivion are relatives of loneliness and misanthropy
Blue and grey are confidantes of depression and its lingering gloom
The blood of the Sky Blue Phoenix drops Tears of Innovative Healing
Life can be the cursive endoskeleton of the exoskeleton of a criminally unsen manuscript
As She Spins Benevolent Renovations in Her Resurrection Sundress.....

I would like to announce my presidential candidacy.
I would appreciate it if you'd vote for me.
If I were president do you know what I'd do?
Pretty much anything that I wanted to.
I'd have a first class seat on air force one
and an awesome pad in Washington.
I'd play golf all day with the heads of state
and if they brought beer, wouldn't that be great?
I can't wait.
Well there are a great many issues important to me
and so here is my campaign policy;
Legislation, occupation, education, organization,
administration, hospitalization, immigration, registration,
arbitration, equalization, integration, representation,
race relations, housing renovations, space stations, unified nations!
I Will Restore Our Once Great America!
Etc, etc, etc, etc.
Well it's the home of the brave and the land of the free,
and that's the funny thing about democracy
because a vote for me is a vote for me.
*
Again, I'd have an awesome pad in Washington DC
if you'd find it in your heart to vote for me.

Hussshhhh of the sea breeze
Bolobok Cave nears it
Rain drops falling on my face
Trim down my long pony-tailed hair
Small crabs crawling over the brownish sand surface
Small stones scattered over
Small caves with limestone
And having freshwater downstairs
Said there were ladders to climb and unclimb
To see the down caves
Now in a mysterious looks waiting for renovations
Where are these caretakers of nature?
The beauty of eye lenses looking at it
Please come and rescue this whispering ambiance of serenity
For generations to enjoy
If this is an early human settlement
Come take your responsibility
Oh the caretakers please come
Thank you

Bigwigs like to breakfast
With compadres of their ilk.
They like imbibing power
With their coffee, tea or milk.
The usual location
Where they meet and break their bread
Plans to close for renovations,
So what will they do instead?
A restaurant’s been chosen
As replacement for a while;
Because it’s on Park Avenue,
It has the proper style.
A certain politician, though,
When asked about it, boasted,
“I’ll try it, but they’d better know
I like my whole-wheat toasted.”
With all the problems in the world
Just falling at their feet,
How strange to think the big shots
Care so much ‘bout where they eat.
Perhaps our negativity
Towards them would be more minor
If they would meet for breakfast
At the low-cost local diner!

Assignment: 25,000 dollars to help a needy family
There is such a place that is for sale for twelve thousand dollars
I would do some minor renovations for seven thousand
Turn on the utilities one thousand dollars
Stock the shelves with groceries six hundred dollars
Window treatments four hundred dollars
The remainder would go to buy a car or pay utilities

It snowed in Baghdad yesterday;
The Whales will have to find
Somewhere else to go;
The Islands are SOLD OUT.
The traffic in the sky
Is going to get worse;
As the Earth floods again,
The Lost City of New Orleans comes to mind.
Noah looked out his window,
And it was unseasonably warm,
Not a cloud in the sky.
He decided to go fishing,
But when he got to the ocean
They told him it was CLOSED for renovations.
The gods looked up from
Their studio apartment in the ghetto.
"He doesn't realize the flood
Will come from below,"
One of them says, which is not important.
“The land named by RED which was inappropriately christened
For one thing it is not, GREEN
Is the stage it will take place on.”
"The people want to know WHEN?" the God of Traffic asks.
"Tell them, sooner than you think,"
Says the God of Money,
Who knows death is imminent.
The Almighty Dollar goes home,
And takes a bath with a bread maker,
As Noah tries to resurrect
A miniature version of his ark inside a bottle of ABSOLUT.

Frame is solid, some refurbishing needed; I have a room for rent
Only needs a few repairs and my patience has well been spent
Ready for immediate occupancy as soon as one can spare
Renovations commencing instantly; rent is somewhat fair
Equipped with all the essentials; a spacious room is what you’ll find
Needs an well organized individual; one able to dwell inside this mind
Today it’s clean and tidy as can be; tomorrow's a new day, I'll wait and see
