The recent, decent, authorised remaster -
now deeper, fuller, meaningfully vaster,
it’s done its fifty years – this one’s a laster!
I don’t care if you’re reggaeton or Rasta,
you worship Satan, Seti, Zoroaster -
just play this baby for your priest or pastor –
it’s early Fleetwood Mac, but cooler, faster –
so get it grooving on your ghetto blaster!
Abandon Grand Theft Auto, drop your Dune,
and scrap your Patti Smith and Patti Boone:
just get more Gilmour (boy, that boy can croon!)
and Roger Waters, nicely out of tune:
the rest is paltry. Daltrey’s picayune.
I’ll meet you on the Dark Side of the Moon!

A lot of times
Having of
Should have
Could have
Done this better
Make it happen earlier
When we were young
Where time was simpler
Free to do more things
Wild child
Nothing much to care
In the world
To think again
Just that
Our minds were not open
To the unknown
Our hearts were scared
Mistakes and consequences
Our souls were restless
Not knowing what to do about it
Our only reliance
The actions of the experienced
As our guidance
To the real world
Handling real things
Face to face
Painful enough
To even forgot our names
Who we are
Hopefully for awhile
Firmly standing ground
Sane
We do not know how
We just know
That is amazing
We can learn and improve on our own
Trial and error
Outcomes
Rewards
Great indicators
To growing up
Evolving masters of our race
Knowledge is power
Slice better than sword
Becoming invincible against impossibles
Do not give up
Stay long enough
And you know why

our innate desires,
the yearnings
that we grip so hard
we soon become disturbed
from a query within,
risen due to an insufficient ego.
satiated through any form
it will force us to wonder
how we are supposed to act
now that we think
we know something
about ourselves...and others,
we did not before.
what we never seem to know is
we will not learn anything until
we remaster our old self again
engaging it
through our new self

I can't think
of what to write
right now.
So I'll start
by saying this.
and maybe after
then I'll remaster
and change a bunch of it.
The pen just follows
me around
when I begin to write.
As I think of nothing
I know I can now
fall asleep tonight
