He thought the name egghead was bad
Did not know it meant bright.
Recipient was my confused dad.
Who reheard it again last night.
Got very angry at this word
Forgot the meaning again said Sue
Thought it sounded mean and absurd
Dementia will do that to you.
This you see is a draft
Minds little notes of lines and verse
In dribs and drabs
In prose, I stab and stab
Repeating oft said words
Expressions rehashed to be reheard
Yearning only for that one to see
This my attempt at being me
The ebb and flow of a sadness boat
Feeble attempts to keep afloat
Yet drowning in words it seems to be
Prose no longer setting me free
Learning more and knowing less
Wise words not heeded at best
For lingering in the dampness there
Is death, burning slow with its evil stare
THE DIE IS CAST ONCE AND THEN IT IS SIMPLY HISTORY.
NO COPIES OF VAST MUSEUMS OF ANTIQUITY.
BEING UNIQUE!AND YET SO REMARABLY ALIKE.
BIG AND SMALL,SPEAKS WRONG OR RIGHT.
ENOGH FOOD TO FEED A COSMOS OF STARVING SEEKERS.
BLOOD SPEWED AND BARBARIC NATURAL USURPERS.
UNINFLUENCED BY PASSING FADS OR OGRES.
SEVERING THE PAST OF DISASTERS AND WARS.
THE SEASHELLS FOR BEINGS IS THE ABODE OF A GOD,
WHERE MEETINGS OF ANGELS ARE THE BIRDS OF WORDS.
WHERE EVERY MESSAGE SENT BY FISHES OR FLIES,
A VESTIGE OF PARADISE IS WASTED BY LIES.
LIKE ALL OBEDIENT OFFSPRING OF MAN OR BEAST,
THEY ALL ASK FOR SANCTUARY IN HEAVENLY PEACE.
WHERE ALL ARE EQUAL AND CHOICE IS SELF SERVED.
THERE IS NO WALLS FOR THE ECHOES TO BE REHEARD.
