High Rise Legends

London growls under the tread
of diesel driven dreams.

A stork visits,
an attic full of discarded toys.
White mice sleep in pajamas,
made of childish nightmares.

Barges reek still, just as when,
sweat was as common as dirt.

A window in Baker Street,
opens to let pipe smoke out,
it uncoils in the air
like a left-handed genie.

Meat mongers return to their,
gore-soaked cradles
before the dawns leery light.

The city is a fable,
there is fuel oil seeping,
through tunnels and runnels,
where entrenched gutter snipes
lie low and wait.

Denizens' crabwalk
along Regents Street
barking Chinese commands
at oppressed corgis.

Stately towers are pressure washed,
until they shed a dark sunlight
that fractures ferrous raindrops.

Tenements sink under the weight,
of red carpets
until the blood flows
out of them.

London by night,
is a veneer,
a crust
of low expectations.

Duffel Coats

He had a duffel coat once,
so did she. They must have looked
well-matched
walking in Regents Park
that Autumn.

In time
the coat shop on Oxford Street
died of old age.
Duffel went out of style.

They wore them still.
One day
her duffel was neatly folded,
into a labeled, cardboard box.

His coat developed Alzheimer’s
in a tumble-down closet.

When they unhooked from each other,
he packed only empty pockets,
and a small bundled
of toggles and loops.

Incisors

For the Beauty Pageant
Her selling front teeth,
Whose absence is a myth

For a smile with intent,
Yoga is the breath
While you bare their breadth

Their extraction kills the sweet
In indulgent kiss,
Keeping them white a feat
To one who wouldn’t a tooth miss.

Also useful to vampires
And their reprehensible agents
Assuredly stretching their empires
And vile occult regents'.

For whomever Satan hires
For the incisive very urgent,
As decisive as live wires,
Blood corpuscles the emergent.

The Day the Aardvark Died

The Day The Aardvark Died Christmas 2017

The day the aardvark died
they wept down London zoo
some danced in Jerusalem
cardinals Christians orthodox Jew

The day the aardvark died
I heard them wail down Regents Park
a city prayed for Meerkats
the zoo closed gates before dark

The day the aardvark died
A giant tortoise cried in her pen
then so did the children of Ramala
Palestine West Bank and Hebron

The day the aardvark died
lions slept soundly in their cage
the Saudi's dropped bombs in Yemen
we stuffed turkeys with onion and sage

Caught By the Word

People of
Reposition
Men of
Calm
Islands of
Immunity
Centuries
Palm
Keepers of
Kingdoms
Regents of
Sight
Pilgrims of
Pugilance
Nomads
Delight
Seekers of
Solitude
Freedom
Within
Sages with
Sustenance
Queens on
The wind
Dogmas of
Certainty
Knights of
The sword
Prisoners of
Dignity
All caught,
—by the word!

The fingered clouds beckoned forth,
And remnant regents came,
I being under scraggly force
Said " Let us begin the game."

Then lined them up and tally hoed,
(With garden on the side,)
"You call that what we are to foed?"
"I am only for the ride."

Samael's Visit

1.09.2008

Samael's* visit

"Please, do not scream",
He gently said
And pressed his hand
Upon my lips -
And I could sence
The bliss of death
Close by my searching
Fingertips
"Please, do not scream,
It's not your time,
So many more still yearn to die...
I just stopped by
To spread my wings -
To rest before -
Again
- I'll fly...

* In Jewish lore, Samael is said to be the Angel of Death, the chief ruler of the Fifth Heaven
and one of the seven regents of the world served by two million angels; he resides in the
Seventh Heaven. Yalkut I, 110 of the Talmud speaks of Samael as Esau's guardian angel. In
Sotah 10b, Samael is Edom's guardian angel, and in the Sayings of Rabbi Eliezer, he is
charged with being the one who tempted Eve, then seduced and impregnated her with Cain.

Pseudomorph

I get a kick outta the writes I see,
So intellectual, how can that be?
I skipped two grades,
Was forced to take IQ tests again,
Cause no one as dumb as me,
Could possibly produce such a score, you see
Got 100% on regents exams,
Passed college entrance tests
Half drunk and dirty of dress
Cause I was up with friends
drinkin' and carousing like the rest,
And, Lord knows how, but I assure,
I aced the test, and even more,
To what was then considered
"The Poor-Man's Harvard"
I cruised through that as well,
No one was gona stop this Bell

But IQ tests, and scholastic grade,
Never has one, of a man be made
I still do get confused,
About how to wear two shoes,
My brain may be book-smart,
But comin' from the heart,
I've trusted when I really shouldn't
Was skeptical when imprudent

So here's this IQ wiz,
Don't know just who he is,
And street smart as a cat,
Caught in Dr. Zeuss's hat.

So teach your children well,
don't grow up to be like Tom Bell

What Shall Become of Us ??

ancient house of regents , castles in the sky
gifted wings nigh heavenly flight
beyond my blind minds eye .

trumpeteers hail the closing , opening anew
passing stages throughout the ages
just to name a few .

twenty-five hundrend in concert
ten times complete the song
stage revolves , props in place
for masquerading throngs .

lions prance 'round proudly
rams with golden fleece
twin dual faces often at odds
bulls snorting flames release

fish are nibbling at temptation
poles dangling , fishers of men
passion miracula , eclipsed the light
our hour of spiritual darkness

vanguard in waiting , at the ready
salutation crown of glory
befitting those in heart and mind
to continue with their story

it was never meant to be easy
if it was , we would all have " bill gates " money......

[ 2 timothy 3:1-4......also.....2 thessalonians 2:10-11 ]

Symbolic Snake

slithering world serpent through the ocean of air
impunity by nature , to understand thee thy dare
infiltrate , dominate , conversions at will
wooing the masses , lies , poisonous they spill
masters of craft , art , they have built
architects of time , vaults filled at their will
institutions of power , early monarchs of earth
treachery and greed , impregnated gave birth
systems of government , religion they've controlled
usurpers of power were quickly dethroned
ancient houses of regents , predetermined by blood
created confusion , unenlightenment by flood
waves of misery , waves of dark history
waves of slavery , waves of atrocities
emotions attuned to human tragedy
sacrifices made to garner sympathy
death incurred , monumental price to pay
wealth accrued in an evil way

white rose of life , black rose of death
checkerboard symbols , a mean game of chess
the world at large has been in constant check
checkmate is the purpose , by whom a good guess .
