Refold Poems

HERE AND NOWHERE

Fold-count-recount and refold the puzzle in my mind- the map in gold dust-whose memories-flying lamps-exploding light bulb chaos-Edison's memory
Everywhere and nowhere-whose is ?The soul of things-intuition from the lining that I do not wear- purified from my bones I was thrown into a bell jar
The lid was closed-the room was folded: The mirror was broken in my mind. Darkness. BLIND SPOT(…)

Paper Plane

i took flight with innocence in my wings,
naïve to the gusts that awaited.
the winds of time and turmoil tossed me,
tumbled me in turbulence.
crumbled and creased, i fell,
my shape distorted, my flight interrupted.
but in each wrinkle and fold,
vivid and untamed perseverance.
i learned to smooth my edges,
to refold, to reshape, to rise again.
my creases are no longer failures,
but strengths, a resilience, an intelligent design.
reborn, i catch the wind once more,
evidence amidst the boundless blue,
an echo of healing unfurled across
the infinite expanse of the open sky.

Let Us Run With Peace Beats

O’ good woman (3)
Where’s your head gone (4)
Rolling around in other men’s beds, huh? (7)

Look what I found (4)
Your baggage unbound (3)
Should I refold the linen wraps on the ground? (9)

Appease your lease (3)
Good woman, good grief (4)
Where did I go wrong? (5)

Your skin is weathered (4)
Browning and drowned (3)
Isn’t the floor quite cold down there? (7)

Forget me not (3)
Your mother’s wise whispers (4)
Surely she has prepared a house for you here? (9)

You are almost grown (4)
Full of bones (3)
Might your feet fall near? (5)

Fatherless and shy (3)
Teeth bittered and loose (4)
Tell me, does he listen to you? (7)

Don’t untie Yesterday’s shoes (4)
Let her walk (3)
If you ran bare wouldn’t they sit and stare? (9)

Bawdied and wet (3)
Chugging canines underneath us (4)
Are we lost in roots? (5)

Let us play there (4)
Before they barter (3)
For without tufts where can we sail? (7)

Lest we call (3)
Upon the one exalted (4)
Do you sleep with my prayers in your window? (9)

Perhaps on the streets (4)
Where you dream (3)
Which one hooded her hair? (5)

Earth sciences
spill through LeftBrain spaces
and consciences

As artistic time-travel images
back through sight and sound
and more deeply into fragrance
and taste of sweet v sour and bitter, even worse
and touch of good v bad mistrusted,
sometimes even mutually distrusting

Feeling fractals
and sensing double-bound mysterious octaves
of wondrous color and music
spiraling fertile seasons,
operas,
operations,
designs.

Iconically captured in DNA and RNA
regenerating fold
and unfold
and refold,
weave
and unweave
and reweave time's holonic structures,
sacred ThreePoint Vectors

And, sadly, histories of degenerative violence
against sacred polycultural solidarity
with all Earth's LifeTribes.

These two appositions,
YangSpace and YinTime,
are a powerfully flowing combination,
fluently affluent when held together,
with sublime integrity
restoratively pre-generational,
enthymematic
toward diastatic
polypathic
sacredly re-creolic
fully invested commitment
to healthiest wealth of EgoYang
as wealthiest health of EcoYin.

A Departing Soldier

I know you.
Candles lit, incense fuming,
You like it when I bite your neck, just hard enough.
Blankets thrown about the room
So recklessly, they refold themselves.

And we roll down a hill together,
Kissing the leaves, tickling with our eyes,
Laughing with our hearts.
"Once you get on that plane, you're not coming back, are you?"
"No," I say. Because only
Nothing
Lasts forever.
And it spills through the cracks in your hands
The moment you grasp it.
Like water from a stone.
She bites my neck
Drawing lines of ecstasy down my back with her fingernails
Spilling into me, fighting my words.
"I leave when the sun sets."

Origami

She would fold, refold then fold again
And from the paper arose a swan
I was always amazed at what she did
A creation of beauty from paper

She would fold, refold then fold again
And from her heart arose a song
A creation of beauty from hope and faith
And like the swan she helped me fly

Ultimate truth it's cradle is wisdom
All begins is wisdom’s simplicity
Joins together a begin to an end(Agape's wedding band)
Truth doth end all knowledge complexity

Source wisdom refold remold wisdom gold
Life’s journey’s end is a journey’s begin
Ultimate choice humanity’s own voice
Where wisdom begins and knowledge ends

Wilderness__ lost souls intertwined__ in mind
Thus we all shall arrive at very start
To know wisdom begin for the first time
Wisdom’s center where souls of hearts did part

Through an unknown remembered sacred gate
Unto source of wisdom’s longest river
Souls return unto wisdom’s sacred fate
To ultimate truth__ wisdom’s life giver

Ultimate wisdom sacred DNA
Wisdom’s Agape__ ultimate creator
The child’s sacred return from it’s play
Knowledge returns from complexity’s tour

(Inspired by T.S. Eliot)
We shall cease from our mind’s exploration
Costing us not less than mind’s everything
When our tongues of mind’s flame are in-folded
Only then crowned knots of fire and rose become one
