Dust

l came from a desert you've never heard of
l am the source of the potters clay
in the storm of the desert l wander
in a desert that has no home

then l rest upon the surface of the water
and the sounds that leaks through your windows
l can deflect back into space
and then she calls your name across the desert
and across a sea of sand dunes

khol eyes of darkest nights, veils and wails
she burns the reddest sunset
l am the storm you've never heard of

my mist of thirst is like a poison
it's death stroke is the wind
l'll circle back round from where l came from
in the desert dust
and fill your eyes till suffocate

l am the storm
........................l am Simoom

The Reddest Rose

In the prime of your youth so cruel and short,
I handed you the reddest rose with velvety petals
and with a gentle gesture you took it dreamy eyes
to delight your sense and cheerfully accept it.

That rose has never faded, it has remained intact
and I hold it thinking about the seasons we spent
together by that river that carries away all dreams
we wished they would never know the flow of tears.

In the prime of my youth so distant from any crowd
I carried you in the deepness of devoted thoughts
imagining two lovers more eager than a greedy child
who was never glad or satisfied with a few toys.

That pretty girl with golden hair ran on jasmine fields
that met idyllic sunsets that vanish into almost nothing,
I chased you until we both fell on the flaming grass
out of breath, thrilled to lay there and start indulging.

In the prime of fullest joy, we listened to the inner voice
telling us that there wouldn't be another similar time:
either grab it or postpone it without a specified guaranty...
if it would be avaialble for us to enjoy and climb to certainty.

Through the years

Your beauty blossomed like the reddest rose:
the years - so kind at first - your looks enhanced,
and lovers falling at your feet, entranced,
will see perfection in you, head to toes.

And yes, my love, this heart's completely yours,
devoted like the rest to what I see,
but know you will not stoop to look at me,
so dreams of you in vain my soul explores.

As years no longer prove themselves your friend,
and lovers false to shadows disappear,
when vexed by fading charm, some day you'll hear
these words: my love for you will never end.

Unreachable Role

By George P. Lumayag

The cast tried to act his dramatic role in the teaching-learning arc;
He portrayed a character he knew very much
with a very adjusted tone of his artistic acts.
He loved it so he danced overnight,
and he mastered it in daylight.

He believed he was a prolific actor therefore he portrayed his best.
His character was exposed in the theater as a rising rainbow,
It seemed such a character was struck with a bow and arrow.
His heart was bleeding on a climax as set
So, that was the reddest light wave of a falling rainbow.

The director explicitly expressed the rules of artistry,
So, the actor implicitly cried that his role as the cast was disqualified
from that teaching and learning art contest!

Jester The Joker juggled bottles
decorated with the reddest flame.
Three jars spun jiggling in the air
jars four and five he held with care.
Letting go of the ones in his hands
he caught the next two on command.
Jester The Joker juggled bottles
decorated with the sky light blue
but, out of one jumped Winnie the Poo.
Then Winnie the Poo tried to juggle
the bottles with the reddest flame,
but, he fell in a pot of honey
and that ended the juggling game.

      Autumn comes in countless ways
      Raindrops touch gently
      the last reddest rose
into memories from a brighter time
      The summer of countless dreams
      will become distant silhouettes

      Embers from the autumn fires,
colored by the blood of relatives
      Under words of sorrow
The wind blows through the apple orchard
      feelings become porcelain fragile
      Sunset fades
      the night becomes long
                             ... wrap yourself in love

DeadMan

I promise you the most pure red
The red lips I bare
The reddest blood I see

I promise you my heart
I rip it from my chest
You make me heartless
That's fine

I love you

My arms bleed
So do my legs
My wrist

I'm half dead
I'm your dead man

I kill myself for you
I let you kill me
Try yourself
I'm ready
I've done it myself
The first when I was 9

I lay out my wrist
A smile I bare
My eyes blank
My lips dried with blood
My hair I rip out

I'm ugly
I'm weak
I'm love

Premium MemberSpring Sonata

give me Spring
above all seasons
its scented blooms
the reddest sunsets
the fullest moons

imagination in the clouds
A Dreamer's wish
like a bird to fly
watch butterflies
slip from their cocoon
their colored wings
slowly dry

hear gentle rains
that soak the soil
while crickets sing
into night
as fireflies glow
a twinkling light

feel the pulse
of Nature's heart
as life is born
and renewed
with colored crown
Spring's adorn

Healing

Was I blind...
Or had I willful blindness?
I was surely not ignorant,
Neither was I acquainted.
Heart was in gale,
Mind did acquiesce.
I was always a coward,
Who never confronted.

I saw those flags,
Brightest and limpid.
Red in qualms,
Redder in distrust,
Reddest in name callings,
You were my dear,
DOMINEERING IN EVERYTHING.

You were preeminent,
That is why I capitulated.
But that was show,
I never calculated.

Yes I did a mistake,
Yes I am admitting,
You tought me a lot,
a lot destructing,
I am now back,
See here my dear,
Here is my audacity.

I turned ten two days ago,
I blew out the candles with a heavy sigh.
You were born today,
Still.

Your lips inherited
The reddest hue of cardinal feathers,
Your rice paper skin
Pale and soft, fresh as silken snow.

I never knew what your eyes looked like
They never opened
Infinite iris colors
Never to be discovered

When I held you in my arms,
The guiding hand of God
drifted away
I gave the coldest of shoulders I suppose.

I looked outside the hospital window,
A frigid breeze made
The trees sway with unease
But all the leaves stayed in place.

A confetti of dust drifted
In the air conditioned hospital room
And time yet stood still
On my brother's only birthday.

Resistance

For persons leaving little to chance,
To others’ orders don’t wish to dance;
For weapons reserving user’s glance:
If they can’t find guns grip a close lance…

Resistance means that one has muscle:
A king who must not lose his castle,
The accustomed to life of hustle
And harsh towns of hustle and bustle…

For resistance, the reddest of eyes:
A time one freely Anarchy tries,
Wastes more than a soul and one’s tears dries:
Sometimes doing the thing with war cries…

All: on the Altar of self defense,
The blood one sheds not really offense…
Sooner achieved sooner respected,
Less badgering rightly expected;
No more the clumsily inspected:
Whoever tried this war prospected…

Blood

So far, the reddest river
But does not flow forever:
A coursing through enclosures
Vessels furnishing closures…

For journeys should Heart Pump thank:
They would cease, if The Heart Sank
To be left a congealed mass
While owners eyes ‘doomed shut glass…’

Lots of information stores,
Not the same a saint’s and a whore’s;
Medics who checked the river
Could pick out one with fever…

Many things run in the blood,
Some of them unleashed ‘foul flood’
The Best from this Red Fluid ‘Gift’
Which from parents did lift…

On robes Automatic Stain -
Their wearers always in pain:
Means they should face the way home
And for replacement dress comb.

While dealing with blood: gloves,
For even he that one loves.

We were born in a time where we cannot
Ever afford to break the rules
Taught unto us by different schools...
Different trains of thought...

Being the starving artist I am, as the fruit will rot,
I continue to observe and paint what I see:
The fruits of the old love you had for me,
The basket of grapes we had once bought.

Rhyme and reason no longer in how I love
The one whom I daydream about.
The one whom I want to shout
In tears of joy for the one I have always dreamt of.

Grapes become raisins as I steep every vine,
Stepdancing upon them with moves of my own,
I fill the barrel with a lovely liquid, reddest in tone.
A painting and wine for my love so divine.

Premium MemberQueen of Paris

I'd like to be sitting in a café in France
Eating strawberries and cream with you
I'd find the biggest and reddest and juiciest ones
And feed them to you off my spoon

After we'd stroll down the avenues and rues
The afternoon lazing away
We'd window shop arm in arm picturing you
In the finest of clothes on display

A flower I'd pick for your beautiful hair
To highlight it's shimmering hues
Have I ever told you how lovely you are?
I think perhaps I may have given some cues

Then when the afternoon cedes to the night
We'd dress up and go out on the town
Aglow with the aura from Paris's light
The flower becomes now your crown
