Premium MemberThe Balcony

An overhang might be a mystical spot,
where shattered hearts can be recuperated,
Hidden trusts are given fresh life,
The shouts of torment are discernible,
The sky is seen through a brought-down look,
The eyes clear away their auld tears,
furthermore, spirits are covered in obscurity,
welcome the beams of trust.

Sipping Cider With My Sweetheart

Sylvan surroundings of a Sanatorium
With cold wind biting the boulevard...
In pallid rays of winter sun, I recuperated.

"Hey, I am your new nurse"...
A light blue scarf came in a tint of white.

Wow!, Wasn't she my Carolina?..
Lost ten years ago in the valley of time and distance..
I knew the honey-sweet voice.
But she never knew I loved her so much.
She chafed my feet in her anodyne touch.
Memories warmed my cold winter night.

'You'll have a hot cup of cider, alright?..

Red apples bubbled in simmering condiments.
Cinnamon, nutmegs and Cloves.
As I sipped Cider with Carolina, my sugar level arose.
 A red fire was burning the frost of winter.
A crisp tangy smell of my pureed semi-tart love.
The maple syrup with a sugary crust...
My sweetheart says," Show me where it hurts".

Dragonfly Afloat on the Lake

A dragonfly afloat on the lake
Flaps its wings to keep from drowning.
With its life in the balance, it senses hope
And boards the paddle I nudge into place.
Slowly, I draw the oar out of the water
And watch the dragonfly bask in the sun.

Now recuperated with dried wings,
The insect alights on the boat’s gunnel.
I contemplate the situation, seeking a higher meaning,
Wondering if it understands fate or destiny
And canoe towards the shore for its safety.
Or is it just an instinctive reaction?
That brought us together in this crisis
As it flies away, leaving me with a memory.

The Seven V's

The Seven V's

By religious doctor was just reassured
That from my disease, I had been cured
After from it forever, finally recuperated
From something thought to be ill-fated.

To my trusted doctor then said good-bye
But still on his advice will always rely;
My body am properly taking care of
Treating with tenderness and much love.

Each day, Holy Bible have started to read;
God gives me support and fulfills my need
After asking for His comfort and it received
Thanked Him and was completely relieved.

Began all over again and a new life started
Ended being one who was dearly departed;
Went straight to heaven and did not swerve;
Live there with vim, vigor, vivation and verve.

Above are the names of the four virgin angels
I ran into along with a variety of variations
spread out here and there and everywhere.

Rarely Spoken Words

Rarely Spoken Words

"Please forgive me, I was wrong" --
" when I thought I was right "....
If you ever hear those
rarely spoken words keep
them near your soul...

If the person that spoke them without
coercing-stood strong against their ego-
Liken to a rare jewel, they are.
You can trust them to shine;

They have the fortitude of integrity
Which is the thread of friendship's lifeline
as they will be most unlikely to
deceive you in relationship's.

Those who be sprinkling fairy dust on their
mistakes, are not really sorry, they will
wound you all over, before you are
recuperated, they will injure you again.

You need stay clear.
Remove them like a dart in your heart.
From most you will never hear those
"Rarely Spoken Words"

“I apologize, my fault”
"My bad" - "You were right".
Unless spoken from a jail cell.!
