Midnight Came and Went
The significance of midnight
I don't know what it is
The last possible moment
Disappears
It's watchable
Tangible
Takes you with it
Not into the promise of tomorrow
I'm on the other side of midnight
The true night time
Hushed sounds
Empty hours
Time to think
I'm nothing but myself now
I know what I choose not to be
As I use this thinking time
It's a beautiful word 'midnight'
Images conjure easily
I need to picture myself
Independent and unneedy
I'll arrive at many midnights
I don't need my hand held
Morning always comes around
Clarity can live here
