Throw Down the Brush

When we seek the moment when the creator steps back from the painting realizing that he or she had shaped something outrageously perfect, then we ourselves transpire though the art. We may wonder if the artist sensed that perfect revealing, that apogee, and how it was understood that all else now would be a prelude or a footnote. When that exactness comes through it will defy description; it should not be explained or the soul of the image will be lost. Perfection lays in waiting for the rough canvas of being to reveal it. When that happens throw the brush away.
