The Purple Honeycreeper

The purple honeycreeper cannot fail to catch your eye;
A splash of vibrant colour as he wings his way up high.
And in the deep rain forest if you're standing very still,
You'll hear him sing falsetto in a voice distinct and shrill.

Now should you catch a glimpse of him, his presence will enthral.
He looks as if he's heading to an avian masked ball.
Adorned in purple suit, Lone-Ranger mask and yellow tights,
The sugarbird is one of Amazonia's sweetest sights.
