Sprouted Wings
We appreciate this modest passageway,
Which we are trying to coax you into.
You always seemed to figure these things out so wisely…
The fact that we are not trying to call you back to us.
But rather help you escape another way.
As you lie on this table-
We must act passively.
As we let go of your soft fur.
To allow your wings to sprout.
