If, When

Saturday mornings sure were fun
When you and I would shoot the breeze
Coffee, blanket, stay in bed
Texting back and forth with ease
Tell you something? that I did
Many times a pretty thing
Nothing from inside was hid
What I had was what I'd bring

Some Saturday let's laugh again
They only come but once a week
I'll leave it up to you, if, when
Making smiles is all I seek
I long for you when you're not there
You mean so much to me, and so
I've all the time for you to spare
The best friend I have ever known
