Yesterday and Repeat

Yesterday, today and tomorrow
Like the movie, “Groundhog Day”.
This doctor, that doctor, another -
Tomorrow repeat, and replay.

My daughter cradles her arm
And rocks back and forth in her chair.
It’s rheumatoid arthritis today
That brings us for medical care.

She needs new pain medication,
Bi-polar meds must be changed.
Her myasthenia gravis means
An eye operation’s arranged.

How do you cope with so much
When you knows there isn’t a cure?
It wasn’t a choice that you made.
You simply have to endure.

You live for the days that are better
And try to enjoy without sorrow,
Though you know there’ll always be
Yesterday, today and tomorrow.
