Psycho Romance

You're like a ray of sunshine that creases my skin,
A whisper of sweet nothings, pulling me in.
My heart beats a rhythm, an echo, a call,
Bang! Bang! on the chamber walls.
A symphony of longing, a melody sweet,
Yet a tempest of chaos beneath my heart's beat.

Oh, beg me to hold you, I want to scream out,
For fear I might float away in the doubt.
But that’s on my better days, when shadows retreat,
When laughter and light make my spirit complete.

Yet lately, my love, everything's tangled and frayed,
You set my heart on fire, then the smoke leaves me laid.
I see you reflected in shards of what’s past,
A mirror revealing the truth that won’t last.
Oh, how I detest you, but you cling to my side,
A twisted devotion, a blurred line, a ride.

You push and you pull, a maddening tease,
Like a motherly figure, who sways with a breeze.
You make me a runner in dimensions of night,
A three-dimensional dance in the absence of light.
You crave my surrender, my soul laid bare,
Like a drug that I chase, a high that’s unfair.

Keeping me awake, with your luminous glow,
Pushing me deeper, encouraging flow.
I beg you to stay, keep laying it on thick,
For this psycho romance has me spellbound, in a flick.
You’re sweeter than Talin, the ripest of fruit,
A dance with the devil, oh, how bittersweet the loot.

Yet I know in the depths, you’re my darkest delight,
For in your embrace, the chaos feels right.
You’re the thorn and the rose, the joy and the pain,
In need of your touch, I tether my brain.
So, here’s to this journey, this love of the mind,
In the depths of depression, our souls intertwined.
