Grim Embrace

In the depths of her soul, she's yearning for touch,
In a void of despair, where emotions are crushed.
Once her fortress, her solace, her knight,
Now distant, indifferent, cloaked in spite.

He was her lifeline, her warmth, her reprieve,
Now his absence leaves her with naught but to grieve.
From tender embraces to harsh, cutting words,
Her heart bears the scars, where darkness obscures.

She craves for assurance, for a whisper of peace,
But his words are like venom, causing her cease.
He was her anchor, her compass, her song,
Now his presence just serves to prove love can be wrong.

Once ignited with passion, with fervor, with blaze,
Now drowned in indifference, a sorrowful maze.
He picks at her wounds, crafts accusations untrue,
Leaving her shattered, her spirit askew.

His affection, a currency spent in desire,
Leaving her hollow, consumed by the fire.
For when he seeks solace in sex or in food,
His kindness is fleeting, his love misconstrued.

Her mental state fragile, her spirit in tatters,
She's swallowed by darkness, where nothing else matters.
She questions her worth, convinced she's not enough,
Trapped in a cycle of torment, of torment so rough.

She loves him with fervor, with depths dark and deep,
Yet his actions bring silence, a silence so steep.
Living in shadows, in turmoil, in pain,
Enduring the onslaught of tears that remain.

Yet amidst the chaos, no glimmer remains,
Just darkness and sorrow, where hopelessness reigns.
For she knows in her heart, though battered and weak,
Her love for him is futile, in darkness it seeks.

She craves to be held, but it's just a mirage,
In a wasteland of sorrow, her heart takes its barrage.
For in this bleak tale, no redemption is found,
Just the echo of anguish, in silence profound.

For she's a girl with a heart that's now numb,
In a love that's forsaken, where darkness has come.
Though he may push her away, time and again,
Her love for him is futile, lost in the din.

So she lingers in darkness, in despair's grim embrace,
No flicker of hope, no solace, no grace.
For deep in her heart, in the void they both face,
Her love for him endures, her heart his lone space.
