Nimbus Cloud
When it opens its large dark eyes wide
and then flashes the big eye-lashes
landscape lights up with darkness
birds, herdsmen, cattle scamper for shelter
But when it closes its eyes and falls asleep
blue sky spreads as blanket to horizons
families take hoes, animals come from hiding
and there are activities, noise, songs all over
Nimbus cloud is a cobra in the landscape
none a friend, none a relative, none a spouse
it destroys without building; no repair
and bites all without sparing, without reason
The landscape mourns wherever it descends
Short-lived feasting as it closes its large eyes
