Midnight Write

Muse where are you come rescue me
From the abyss of my boring poetry
I wish to float and flow endlessly
To bring a new perspective to bravely lead

I try to grow but I’m stuck in rhyme zone
My skills are limited and my words not long
I prefer simple as I am simple like a song
Who’s melody you’d know and never get wrong

So if I take a step will you help
In my brain is a button blue
Push it and activate the truth
Imagine yourself floating everywhere

Not a care for forms or rules just be
True to your own dreams and desires
Be selfish in the moment of inspiration
Nothing is wrong it’s all a song
Sing it whisper or just flow

Muse I’m confused when do I begin
To write my life’s happy ending
Without pretending to need format
Free to be me yet needing that connection

Of humanity and sanity perhaps vanity
Will paint me as flawed paused by God
Perhaps I grow too slow and my limits
I know are like prose but with color

I do know you have to be bold
Encourage yourself in the Lord
But I have questions a lot of questions
Wtf about many things

Why do babies get cancer
Do You allow miscarriages or is that satin
Why are so many perverts praying on the innocent
Why is USA so rich yet so poor
Who are Your people
No really give me a sign
So I know who to avoid

Don’t give up on us though dear Lord
My muse must be an angel
For she leaves me like a fish
Out of water yet forces me
To learn to breathe and become a new thing

This one should be in the poem cemetery
But I will post for my growth and hope
