Ashes

                                 Sitting in life’s departure lounge
Waiting to turn in to ashes
                                  Bereft of longings and desires
	                                But still an individual
                                          In flesh and blood
                                   Imbued with cool thoughts

Do the ashes mean an end?
Am I only flesh and blood?
                                   Where was I until enwombed?
                                            Why was I made?
                                             Who made me?
                                             Where will I go?

                                           Ages have passed
                                     But there are no answers
As a toy in hands of unknown
                                          I remain a mystery
                                        Clay is better than me
It lasts longer, as a clay

                                         Something inside me
                                         Compels me to think
                                      Nothing perishes forever
                                        Ashes are not the end
                                              I will continue
                                      Somewhere, in some form
