Witness Protection
We settled into Baltimore after rejecting several locations after the dreaded shoot out thus move seemed right although two Suburban trucks tailed us from the airport the driver was excellent at distracting our surroundings I wasn't afraid this time I was more drained the children were pent up fidgeting everyone needed to pee I notice a small diner ahead with a broken ice cream cone as a sign the children screamed oh please please the driver nodded no way I will never forget the disappointment on their faces we have to keep moving I closed my eyes for just a second when the tire blew the driver yelled damn we are so close his phone rang instructing him to keep driving he did exactly that drove on the hubcap all the way to this undisclosed location finally we all piled out of the vehicle and poured into our new safe house secluded dreadful wood sound proof no flowers no bird feeders I felt bland sterile knowing this is our new norm until the hitmen locates us again until the assassin's are released reloading assault rifles no curtains only metal blinds all around this place a quiet quaint bomb shelter with six bunk beds an indoor play ground toys puzzles pot holder kits to past my time food diapers delivered every Monday the instructor announced if you need extra female things leave the box out we'll get them do not write notes of any kind not even drawings no coloring books or crayons log cabin blocks were stacked no out let's no electronics books were selected randomly new ones will be brought in every Thursday so if it's something special you need we'll work through it remember dear your killers are still out there they are very violent very corrupt nothing and no one can be trusted at this point you are now a government spy a data breach severe identity fraud against you so valid very dangerous keeping you safe is top
