Hourglasses and Rubies Red

Rubies and blood,
Some gems shine brighter,
Than the morning sun,
There are few temptations,
Greater than the taste of cocoa,
Honey, airy mist, and cream,
And drinking you into me,
Just subtle glance is enough,
To light my lips ablaze,
Suddenly so dry in needing,
If I bite them hard enough,
Maybe they'll bleed the same,
Dreamy color of your aura's glow,
And I'll taste the moment enough,
To sink in deeper and live it full,
Ticking by the seconds last ages,
And I'm trapped in the millions,
Of grains slipping down through,
A thousand cracked hourglasses,
Reflecting forever the truth,
The things that I've done,
Forsaken swiftly alas forgotten,
And the hurt so much hurt,
Tears and providing no answers,
But heart seeking lusting after what?
Seconds? Minutes? Just time,
And I am so willing to shatter,
So many filled voids of sand alone,
Without even a thought of what I have done,
If I look back broken and with thought,
Regretting the days,
I'll never be allowed to forget,
Even so I'll be left with the taste.
