I learn from the simplicity of nature

As I walk around the cottage nestled at the river’s edge, I am greeted by the splendor of nature. The river gushes through the rocky bed as its roar echoes through the valley. I sit in awe watching her as she glides effortlessly, oblivious to any barriers. Despite the many large boulders obstructing her path, she carves her way overcoming any obstacles that stand in her way. She depicts strength, vigor and perseverance.
On the hills near the riverbank there is a magnificent blend of towering coniferous trees. Douglas fir, ponderosa and sugar pines and many Cyprus trees, the silent sentinels adorn the premises. Their robust presence is very comforting. They share ancient wisdom with those who know how to listen to the sound of silence.
The river’s meandering path is surrounded by vibrant green bushes on either side. They shine in the sunlight. Many bushes around the cottage are blooming painting the landscape with hues of joy and hope. White daisies, red roses, pink sweet pea flowers, and a variety of other flowering plants have beautified the vicinity. This visual feast attracts numerous pollinators. Butterflies flit from flower to flower spreading their delicate wings in the warmth of the morning sun, while ladybugs, honeybees, bumblebees and many more dance and buzz around the blossoms. They are the silent heroes of nature; their diligent efforts ensure the continuity of life.
As I stroll amidst this landscape, I find myself reflecting on life. I learn from the simplicity of nature, its ability to just go with the flow touches my heart. Nature doesn’t bind itself in a prison of thoughts, it simply exists. I feel grateful. It’s a reminder that sometimes, the best thing we can do is just be.
