BLAME
"A man can fail many times, but he isn't a failure until he begins to blame somebody else." John Burroughs
Bearing own fault is a virtuous deed
while admitting it with repentant plight
blaming others reveal immature creed
along selfishness of arrogant blight.
Despite frustration of failure-caused pain
bearing own fault is a virtuous creed
confessing guilt as God grants pardon-gain
since He knows motive midst forgiveness-need.
Aware of sin's fruit and how it does breed
my human nature humbles down to say
"bearing own fault is a virtuous creed"---
though I fall* and fail, I pray for light's ray.
Responsible for my error, I face
consequences... beseeching to be freed
practicing divinely this truth by grace:
bearing own fault is a virtuous creed.
*Proverbs 24:16-18 For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief. Rejoice not when thine enemy falleth, and let not thine heart be glad when he stumbleth: Lest the Lord see it, and it displease him, and he turn away his wrath from him.
