Hands rapturously
slashing satori
Bang !
Light released filter down
bats brushed skin to
fly knowingly low
then water gushed
through cracks
snakes spiders scorpions
were our toes
stones spoke in bugle
sound as Sun set in
whirlwinds
the cave was nowhere
yet everywhere
Beethoven’s symphonies
were shadows
future written on our
vacant palms
but to prior walk with
Harry the Strandloper
was an unspoken
intent by ONE for
beloved paleo duo
Khoisan shores we
were profoundly to
absorb adorned with
seashell bracelets before
on velvet concert seats
to sit enraptured
no thoughts tornado
continents waiting
our ignited hearts
unnamed species
answered spotted spaces
with wise wind through
shafts in darkness protected
our irises reflecting stalactite
dolomite dynamite
anchovy offering themselves
our hunger appeased
we were the power

receiver and giver abundant

with heather whispering

berries and tubers fat
nipples started leaking

cord to trout we fed
who offered us their
white flesh in turn
Sun roared into navel
in and out, up and down
cave walls slapping
Spring to bring
Heart expanded lungs
metallic sounds sung
a hammer forged to
chop stone singular
swallows still equalled
human tribes not
flocks harmonious fly
my eyes pushed out
his to flush awake
nostrils flared flaked
slowly Darkness
dragons dissolved
paleo pair evolved
