Lazarus

In Bethany, a truly tragic tale unfurled
When Martha and Mary, lost their whole world.
For their brother Lazarus, so warmly dear-heart-ed,
Fell ill and died, leaving all hope lost and departed.

When news arrived of Lazarus' plight,
Jesus set forth, swift as the day turns to light.
Four days had passed, and the scene was grim,
But Jesus bore remarkable faith, deep within.

He stood before the tomb's door of stone,
His voice pierced the rock, with a thunderous tone.
"Lazarus, come forth," He boldly cried,
And Lazarus emerged alive, with hands, feet still tied.
