You were always meant to arrive before I could name you

You were always meant to arrive before I could name you,
I saw you in the hazy delirium of midnight visions,
In the golden-woven horizon where dreams dissolve at dawn,
I reached out to you with hands that had never touched you,
Whispering your name before I even knew it,
And when you came, I did not sigh in wonder,
But merely breathed, as if I had waited for centuries,
For the moment you would step into my waking world,
Like a dream taking shape in the morning light,
Like the echo of a forgotten song that reminds you of home,
I felt time melt and space breathe silence,
In the moment you became real, in a world of dreaming shadows.
I saw you before I could name you,
And perhaps deep down, I always knew,
That you were there, waiting to be welcomed with open arms,
In the endless story of a longing without a name.
