I arrive early

I am thirty minutes early to my doctor’s appointment a yearly welfare check to see if I am suicidal or whatever Employees arrive along with me, carrying things here and there Setting up their work stations for the day Putting toilet paper in the bathrooms Reminds me of a frenzied hill of frazzled ants I keep my head down, writing feverishly
