Mi Querido Payasito

¿Que tratas de esconder
mi querido payasito?
Si se que tras ese disfraz
de alegríahay un llanto en
tus ojitos.

Nunca sientas tener que fingir,
pues yo

robando pedacito a pedacito.

Premium MemberDuerme Bien, Querido

"Duerme bien, Querido," she would often think as she would watch him lay asleep.
"Duerme bien, Querido," she would say to him in lieu of "Good Night" routinely.
"Duerme bien, Querido," she now says to him in lieu of "Rest In Peace."
"Duerme bien, Querido," she says on her knees at his grave where she often weeps.
"Duerme bien, Querido," or "Sleep Well Beloved" are the words she had engraved
on the headstone of "Su Amado's" or "Her Beloved's" grave.

Querido

Fell asleep and woke up screaming,
You were there beside me dreaming
While we lay with reality streaming
On either side of the bed.

Phantoms through my psyche streaking,
You held me close to still the shrieking
The weight of it set your bones to creaking
And started pounding in my head.

We know our senses are deceiving
The only truth is in believing
That victory is achieving
Indifference to the dead.

Mexico Querido

MEXICO QUERIDO

Mexico querido y lindo…
The beauty of the people
And the land in which they live
Is accentuated by their struggle
To live their lives without bitterness
In a system of unfairness
The land itself cries out for justice
For equality and dignity
Men’s hopes are dashed
Upon the altar of greed
At the heart of corruption is
Supreme selfishness,
Amassing wealth for
One’s own pleasures

Still Mexico’s people
Remain resilient,
Enduring life’s hardships
With steady determination
To enjoy their loved ones
And the land of their forefathers
To dare to believe,
To hope yet once again
For the sake of their children
For a Mexico querido y lindo
For everyone
