There’s something mysterious;
I hope it’s not serious:
my muse will not write when I row.
She’s no river daughter;
it’s time that I taught her
that water and words can both flow.
Bereft of her musing,
the rhymes are confusing;
ideas just don’t spring to mind.
Who cares where she’s headed?
My abs are now shredded;
my lats and my quads well defined!
Alas, to entreat her:
a sculling two-seater -
that certainly might do the trick…
Composing while oaring
would never be boring,
with meters and verse coming quick!

In the 60’s we protested
Out on the quads
With our armbands and banners and signs
‘Til the rage manifested
By police riot squads
Put a damper on all our designs.
We erected no tents
And we went home to sleep
But were sure we could orchestrate change.
Yet these current events
Which on campuses sweep
Seem, to me, very different and strange.

Baby squirrel was first born
On both sides of the family
Grandmas wanted to hold him constantly
A bit of a rivalry developed
Why didn’t you have twins? One accused her daughter.
I tried, she replied, but it did not happen this time.
I had quads, her mother said.
I had six in my litters, said her mother-in-law
Competition on.
Baby squirrel winked at his mother.
He liked being the only one.

When people talk about traveling to the past they worry about radically
changing the present by doing something small. But rarely do they think about doing something small, to radically change the future.
Baby steps are important because they are much more achievable
then giant mountains or far away stars that cannot be touched
Short term goals are comforting to an individual
when the long term goal is still in progress, but out of reach
A sprint runner at a short distance race
has more powerful glutes, calves and quads to propel them forward
and gives them more time to build stamina, before the big marathon
Leave a tempting trail, activate cruise control, hold a hand
Wear comfy shoes and just start walking
When people think about the future, they think its already set
but it can be interchangeable, with one single step ahead.
Be progressive and advance onwards one baby step at a time
sooner than later your future will align,
and you will get there when, its your time to shine.

Another day at the gym,
Pumping iron for the swell.
Aching muscles feeling grim,
As I put myself through hell.
Boneless chicken that I bake,
Egg whites keep me lean.
Protein powders in a shake,
With a dose of creatine.
Heavy squats inflate the quads,
Bench presses for my pecs.
Arm curls to increase the odds,
In the mirror just to flex.
Pull-ups will expand the lats,
Back with snatch and grabs.
Cutting out excessive fats,
And crunches for my abs.
Stretching to protect my calves,
Dumbbells for bulging traps.
Smearing on more greasy salves,
For running more than twenty laps.
After many hours dripping sweat,
My daily workout finally done.
Don't you know I won't regret,
While basking in the blazing sun.

Faerie children were all a titter
It was spring time no longer bitter
Grandpa Faerie’s dandelion distribution day
They were giddy and happy from far away
They arrived in doubles and triples and quads.
They giggled and wiggled in all kinds of squads
Grandpa Faerie was out with great speed
Recognizing their happiness for this pretty weed.

Let us all do the quadruplet dance.
Shake. Wiggle. Wiggle. Shake.
Throw up those arms and legs.
Not at the same time obviously.
Dervish dancing, a lively prance.
Nodding your head.
Changing things rapidly up.
Quintuplet frenzy.
Shake. Wiggle. Shake. Wiggle. Shake.
You might win the cup
Mother of Multiples.
How lucky are you?
To get more than one baby.
Often more than two.
Sextuplet boogie.
You’re kidding me now.
Multiples are fun.
Come let me show you how.
A one and a two. Shake. Shake. Shake.
Quads, quints, triplets and twins.
Come dance with me.
But don’t step on my fins.

Twinkling with mysticism,
magically peeping among fragrant
blossoms, reveling the aliveness of
frolicking, rollicking cousins.
Faeries congregate in tittering
pairs, occasionally in triplets
or quads, encouraging, and cajoling.
Sagely inspiring lively flowers
to show off their most beautiful.
Hiding from the non-believers,
delighting the rest of us, luring
us back into their gardens.
Aspiring us, and uplifting
us, without pixie dust, rather
with soul feelings that sprinkle our
day with goodness – so pronounced,
we can only get it here.
Faerie flower therapy,
nothing better to aid
in healing of psyche.

When will i become the next governor?
some people like you,
why some hate you.
You work as a coline to those who want it,
clasp in the blanco of darkness.
••••
How do you work in the office of inspired people,
thinking of the dock at the door of heaven,
leading your people to the promised hell.
••••
Allowing your soldiers to parade you like quads,
jumping from one organization to the other,
creating infas jobs to people,
making them to laugh like a hynea.
••••
You speak,
with immense authority,
some are powerfully made,
some are kodas in nature.
••••
My governor,
what else is with you,how do you wrong yourself?
Some are taied you as liberal governor,
sitting on an aids throne of poverty,
holding the key to inequality.
••••
Some roads,
are in good condition,
some are in bad condition.
••••
My governor,
what exactly is your work?
how do you govern your state?
You are the OVI of the people.

Crossroads prod roads that download and upload quads of queries
Lumped and dumped on our battered bodies by blister berries
Spiced with slices of suppression and subjugation
That in the end neither mend nor amend our conjugation.
Crossroads prod roads that download and upload wads of whims
Whisked and kicked into reams and streams of our dreams
Spiced with slices of surrender without a defender
To prevent vents and tents that land our glands into a blender.
Crossroads prod roads that download and upload squads of sentiments
Sneaked into tricks that kick our caveats and comments
Said with the aid of braids of dread and lead
That pound and ground pain within the brain in our head.
Crossroads prod roads that download and upload triads of tribulations
Located to allocate lots, plots and slots of sneeze speculations
Marinated with cellulite, marmite alongside territory termites
That undulate and perambulate in our tenderness satellites.

My eyes open in a dark room
The clock is telling me 5 approaches
There to my right I see the outline
Of you
Hair draped across your sleeping face
Gently I pull my left arm from under the covers and brush your hair back
Exposing cheek and ear
My lips catch your cheek as I see your eyes flicker awake
Gently my lips brush your ear
You feel my hand start to knead the muscles in your left hamstring through your winter sleeping clothes
Then reach around between bed and quads to wake the front muscles up too
"Time to go" I whisper
As my hand now works your right leg. The other on your back
Reluctantly you arose yourself off for your morning workout
I slide over into the warmth you left as I hear you getting ready to leave
Breathing deeply your aroma
As I drift back to slumber
Now with dreams of coffee and your return

That day has arrived
The one I thought will never come
Oh! Not for him at list
For he’s the greater one of all,
Oh! The black dark cloud fell
I used to sit outside the house,
The one I used to call a home,
With the man who made it whole
And talk about the tricks of life,
“My child” he often said
“Life is not a rocking chair,
If you want to make it big in life
Climb the rocks it throws at you
That way you’ll bit the ousts”
Yes I miss the good old days,
But today that same old chair
Gives me nothing but lonely dreams,
The big day arrived
For me to call it quits
And start to form a list,
Of thing I’ll do onwards,
From sowing scats to learning quads
That way holly troops will fall
And I’ll be pointed to a direction.
That crazy day perched
When every one’s head is pink
And every one is soon to Greek
Unless you give your self a check
And try to find a decent job.
That final date landed
For those who plaid the game of life
For life is now, tomorrow gone
And then you’ll have to leave behind
The ones you love and work undone
But then you know you plaid your part.
