Premium MemberThat Light In the Sky

How sad that there will be a day
As the innocent suffer to their decay
So who'll take a stand, rise proud and tall
Such sadness, isn't even for us all

Loggers, farmers amidst lost generation
Pulverising, eradicating, life's vegetation
Bring it on to the masses whom require
Feeding the drip feed human, their desires

To be alive witnessing, species in disappear
I'm hoping, for that bright light in the sky
It makes you wonder do they just wait
Until I die, I ask myself why?

Chopsueycide, a Recipe For Disaster

Chopsueycide; They’re gathering for the feast this time; last time it was a roasting.

Chopsueycide; An acquired taste that’s guaranteed to raise temperatures, but not pulses.

Chopsueycide; Added ginger will certainly blow your head off, and the last breath of garlic will keep them away for sure. Onions will make them cry their eyes out but adding carrots will not make anyone see any better.

Chopsueycide; They'll ensure the scissors used to cut up tendon like vermin-celli down to bite size, stay sharp, like the butchers’ knives that sliced through body parts and backbone.

Chopsueycide; Their words blunt and thug, like a mallet pulverising carcasses, now simmering and stewing in dark soy sauce.

Chopsueycide; Topped off by: lashings of humble pie, garroted cream whippings, garnished with sour grapes and the air’s suffocated by the stench of sweet unsuccessfulness.

Chopsueycide; A popular dish, best served cold.

The Universe

The Universe.

The universe came along
To inhabit my place the other day
To shape the forms in contours
With a subtle suggestion in tone.

Design chiselled by wild winds
Pulverising the static constants
Saved from strangled suffocations
Not a laborious description of all
But hint for renewed aspirations.

Pasting reflections on new moon
Multi colours added of expectations
In time growing shrub land in hue
Seedlings planted amid the high noon

Illegal Dying

Illegal Dying

On pursuit of greed
On pursuit of fame-
Gambling with precious life
Is no longer funny play.
We don’t guard ourselves
Marmon broke all bounds
Greed, flood gates opened
There’s a deluge
That inundates humanity.
We’re bait in water
Thrown by bungee jump
Into the deeper end
To bait wealth
With a piece meal
From our gullible hearts.
At breakneck speed
We travel, we pine
Barriers on the fiery way
Crumble under foot
That plods with might
Pulverising conscience
Under its deadly stride.
Expediency and experiment
Replace care and kindness
Egotism and hubris
Is a reflection on the mirror
To which we smile
Gloat and graciously spruce
With drab appetite.
We look to another
With an eye that talks
Questioning neighbour
How the hell he did it...
We don’t compliment
We enjoy commiserating
Dirges are our sweet songs
That titillates our hearts
Hymns are a discord
That is so insufferable.
Compassion out of windows
Is flung like a thief-
With a thud it lands
And held hostage
By angels of uncertainty.

Girl On the Beach

My heart broke for the girl on the beach.
For her innocent repose in the hammock,
For her smiling, dreaming eyes,
For her gentle curves and sweet lips,
For the enthusiasm of her travel,
For the vivacity of her youth,
For her fragile, beauteous soul,
For her bare toes upon the silver sand
For her ankles dipped in the crystal sea.
For her violation and untimely death,
For the pain of her parents,
For the anguish of her travelling companion,
For their dumbfounded devastation,
For pointless, mindless tragedy
For a world that breeds monsters
For her encounter with monsters,
For monsters who destroy life and beauty,
For those who suck the good from this life,
For my own daughter and imagining how I would feel,
For the inconceivable heartache, decimation,
For the sheer pulverising horror,
For myself and my incapacity to help her, or those close to her,
Or say anything that really matters except
My heart broke for the girl on the beach.
