For he once witnessed the winter sun on the day of apricity
Psychrophilic creatures make their retreat to their subnivean brumation
Emerging pools on the ice-covered pond foretell the primaveral
Then, without warning, the gale strikes his face, shattering the sun’s affection
Sheets of frozen fluidity cache away the verdant landscape
May this apricity simply be a mirage of the imminent
We may choose to see hope in the form of the warmth of others
Only to realize that the problem was
Deeper
Than
We
Ever
Knew.
another primaveral day dawning upon me
as i linger stir-crazy in the moments unfolding
in apoplectic thoughts within my mind
while watching the carelessness of others
my moue tightly tucked beneath my mask
hides my silent screams for more distance
famished it seems the world has become
beneath the burden of these bare shelves
one could feel starved of more than food
as they buckle to their knees in prayer
feeling like children to a lesser God
in this turbulence that has consumed us
we grasp the need to feel a closeness
a perigee to a fullness to fulfill the emptiness
yet we feel nothing as this greater distance remains
all we have is the hypermnesia of past moments
breaking through the darkness of mind
as we close our eyes just to see a glimmer of light
in hopes that tomorrow breaks these chains
that weigh us down in heart and mind alike

Margeriten, Löwenzahn
Dicht bei der Straße
Und Hummeln im Freudenflug
Über dem Blütenteppich
Messengers of spring
Marguerites, dandelions
Close to the road
Bumblebees in joyous flight
Over the flower carpet
Mensajeros primaveral
Margaritas, dientes de león
Cerca de la calle
Abejorros en vuelo alegre
Sobre la alfombra de flores
Tanzend in der Sonne
Die zarten Blüten des Jasmin
Wie duftendes Porzellan
In dem sanften Frühlingshauch
Erklingen die Lieder der Vögel

Dancing in the sun
The fragile flowers of Jasmine
Like fragrant porcelaine
In the soft breeze of spring
Resound the songs of birds

Bailando en el sol
