Robert Sherriff - Political Landscape
The political landscape is ever-evolving, and the events of January 12th, 2025, underscore that even seasoned politicians can falter. For Trump, future achievements will hinge on adopting innovative approaches, emphasizing meaningful policies, and promoting unity over division.

Robert Sherriff- Political Landscape January 12th
The political landscape is constantly changing, and the events of January 12th, 2025, highlight that even experienced politicians can stumble. For Trump, future success will depend on embracing innovation, focusing on substance, and fostering unity rather than division.
In robes of black, the gavel strikes,
Supreme Court stands, its power unlike.
A battlefield where ideas clash,
Rewriting rules with every word, dot and dash.
Justices wield their pens with might,
Shaping the landscape, day and night.
Their words like arrows, piercing through,
Transforming politics corrupt anew.
With each decision, lines are drawn,
An ever-shifting political lawn.
Redrawing boundaries, left and right,
In search of justice, to dim to sight.
Opinions differ, fierce debates,
As Court's quill alters enumerable fates.
Balancing scales with careful might,
In quest for truth, in judicial light.
But as they scribe, they must be aware,
Of the consequences they then share.
For the political tapestry, once untorn,
Bears the marks of those who've sworn.
To navigate this realm with grace,
The Court must tread a more tempered pace.
For in their hands, the future lies,
A nation's destiny, the just the wise.

Politicians leak cable news some totally bogus feed,
furthering political agendas, serving ego’s need.
Shedding alligator tears they declare truth as undying,
political gamesmanship is never the same as lying.
Politicians undoubtedly think their smarter than most men,
They promise the impossible and get elected again.
A politician will climb a tree just to spew words unsound,
not tell unadulterated truth and be safe from the ground.
It's invariably not their fish they're intent on frying,
and moving lips indicate they are usually lying.

Intolerant political parties,
Are like Bulldogs in a hay barn;
They don’t consume the hay,
But won’t allow the other to eat it either.
They’re tenacious in spirit,
Busy spinning some favorable yarn,
And the party occupying the White House,
Never seems to get a breather.
