he’s eccentric and bizarre
love my neighbour but only from afar
since he keeps all his doors ajar
I saw he keeps his glass eye in a jar
when in the morning he revs up his car
he pretends to be going to a seminar
he’s convinced he is a rising star
walks around in his peignoir
in his mouth a footlong cigar
and in one hand a european guitar
once he offered me some caviar
then walked away without an aurevoir!

Dark evening not even a star
Wrong night to be coming home from the bar
It’s an awful long walk to your car
Me thinks your door’s been left ajar
Is there even any gas in that reservoir?
Everything seems so creepy and bizarre
Something's eyeing at you from afar
What’s that noise? Could it be a jaguar?
Or a farm animal being led to an abattoir?
Might it be a monster or a wakened avatar?
Or just some old lady in a peignoir?
Isn’t that an arm sticking out of her armoire?
Me thinks you might get the old feather and tar
Aurevoir
Arrgh…

Femme Fatale
Poetry, dear, you femme fatale,
Your darkling eyes stoke fantasies
And ruby lips blow memories—
Oh! temptress, you’re enticing me
With beauty ‘neath that sheer peignoir,
Attracting me with luscious lines,
Invoking soft caress of words
While guilt and weakness you evoke
When we create, my joy so deep:
Will you my mistress always be?

She frenziedly smeared the rogue make-up about...
Her ivory malaise face; contorted seemed vanities glass
While breaking orange's gloss, laced lipstick as painting her
Cheshire cat's up turned smile currents of excitement and she rattling
Silver streaks in highlight's hair her favourite, champagne pink, stilettos
Tapping a memoir's mania beat upon, revamping's boudoir's floor peignoir, with
frills....
Palpable fanfare, held the essence be her creed ? Porcelain ballerina's dementia
and, dreams.
