The earth trembles in fear
As the sky goes through yet another rough time
Tears falling from the sky
Falling on me, as I walk into danger
The cool breeze calming my spirit
The whispering wind telling of her (depressing) story
Its beautiful to me
The earth is alive yet again
You have the darkness
Which turns into light
You can't have a rainbow
Without any rain
Laughter and confusion swayed through the masses.
The attempt to spark the awakened spirit had failed.
To this you laughed joyously
And ran out of town,
The imprint of your mud tracks:
The world’s greatest clown.
The softening current sways without prejudice
Unheard and unfelt by all.
Until the Earth is wounded enough for the clouds to fall
Until mother and man break bread and walk in wonder through the walls
Until heaven and earth meet at a common junction to make prank calls.
Mother Earth is everything.
We must protect her, and keep her health.
So far we have done a poor job,
and her pain can be felt.
We are destroying our mother
With garbage and waste.
Now she needs our help,
And we must do so with haste.
There’s so much we can do,
Like reduce, reuse, and recycle.
Do not litter or carpool,
you can walk, or ride a bicycle.
Just remember, Earth is not ours,
It belongs to everything living.
This is not our world to destroy
It’s our only home, and we’ve been evil, and she’s been giving.
