Haunches and Paunches
It’s strange to say,
but people who sit on their haunches
develop fat paunches
but, say, isn’t it usually the other way?
Definition
Procrastination is
a synonym for pure laziness
without, however,
the indecision of the former.
Unhappy
Do you wake up every day
bereaved in sorrow,
because yesterday passed away
and today will tomorrow?
Truism
In the matter of sexuality
men prefer promiscuity
to unguarded adultery:
the first allows selectivity
the second, the notoriety
of damaging publicity.
His Libido
Her husband’s libido works like sap,
rising only in the spring, and slow at that.
Food for Thought or Nought?
Given all the choicest of foods we eat,
and what it becomes in the end,
shouldn’t it make us wonder what it is we eat,
and is it worth the money we spend?

Real love takes up residence deeply in the heart.
Two lucky ones,
are focused in, not out,
at the start.
From the inside can't see the outside,
so it makes no difference.
Especially to men, who can get away,
with a double chin, beer bellies, and paunches,
and lots of wrinkles.
With not a second thought,
they order hot fudge sundaes with all the sprinkles,
But what of young women,
bombarded with how they should look.
Think they have to look like a picture in a magazine or book.
In the olden days, cottons balls were the padding of choice.
Made young girls feel more attractive and could have a voice.
But what if young girls grow older, and still think that way?
Think they need to look perfect or the men will stray.
Real love doesn't care about cotton balls.
If a relationship is based on padding, it will surely fall.
Then hearts injured,
will no longer accept tenants.
Low self esteem then, won't win any pennants.
Women of any age,
find a man that loves you for your intelligence, and
the depth in your eyes.
Not the things that falsely enhance your look.
Then a future together, you can make book.

Wise men in love sit back on their haunches,
Letting their hair curl, developing paunches.
They darest not act 'cause they've got rationale,
They state as their eyes flick from gal unto gal.
Philosophers study the love of some things
They say must be thought and not strummed on
heartstrings.
To ignore what's in front, they will gaze up above,
'Cause they know that a fool is the wisest in love.
