SITTING HERE ON WOODEN PIER
Sitting here on wooden pier,
Watching waves roll in
Sea-weed on the drift to shore,
The tide is on the turn,
A pelican floating by;
Searching,
Searching,
Forever searching,
Looking for another feed.
As Pandanus abound frequently,
Summer is nearly here;
The warmth from Sol above,
Is indictive suggestive feeling
Of long days around the corner.
As small crustacean abounds about
Leaving tracks and tell-tale signs;
Of whereabouts in sand.
Lonely sea-shell on tidal reach;
Existence of feeling
Of being all washed-up alone,
Far from depths, it came,
Maybe on another surge
Carried far back out to sea.
Faraway from home
And on the beach,
Corked in a bottle wrote;
Message from another place,
Message from another time.
As seagulls squawk and squawk;
Funny way they talk
To one another when on the scrounge
For any titbits found.
And sitting here on wooden pier;
I am in my element
Enjoying what is here,
Of sun, surf, and sand….

Closed to me seven so cute bottles
Each one of them is a quarter of a Tola,
Each one is beautifully covered by smooth tulle
Musk, rose, ambergris, camphor, basil, mint, and Cade fragrant
From dark brown to light white, pure water color, core aroma in scents
Who is who!?
Chance
Tola is an Indian unit of weight; the standard Tola is equal to 180 grains or 11.664 grams. Cade tree (Pandanus tectorius).

Blue ocean vistas
Rainforest encroaches down
Tree roots over stone
Vines reach, wind, twine and climb
Clutching trees that cradle them
Burleigh Heads beach path
Pandanus groves, mangroves
Strange variety
Spiky bushes, towering trees
Tiny flowers underfoot
Raggy paperbarks,
Log bridge, white sand, shallow creek
Invisible birds give song
Each day travel the same path
Only to find it diff’rent.

GUNLOM AT KAKADU
Between the rugged battlements of weather beaten rock,
A waterfall has carved its path through solid granite block.
That endless tone as water fell sure soothed one's weary soul,
The cool clear pool beneath its walls was like a crystal bowl.
Pandanus fringed its sandy edge, Swamp Paper Barks as well,
Its everlasting solitude sure cast a pleasant spell.
The intermittent song of birds sung melodies so sweet,
So took a spell to sit a while, to bathe my weary feet.
In future times when I get down, if life should make me blue,
I'll just recall that spot I saw, Gunlom, at Kakadu.
