My body is a liquid
that keeps your glass half full
I'm merely there to fill the gap
between episodes of a screenplayed life
the need for symmetry
is overdrawing a story
were us could be presumptive
like you said
those expectations were my mirroring
so your repulsion stepped out to the scene
now we're sitting each in his corner
shrunken
as the vertical thoughts aim the heart harder
like a drone
released with purpose
absolved of liability
from the shelves of my soul
you're removing belonging titles
stacking your books
while happiness in this head is playing a tennis match
in front of an empty grandstand
I'm not standing
you've lent my nature disrupting the statics
I stand no more
I'm floating between this viscous heart
and knowledge that for me you're nefarious
preparing your clean exit
I'll sweep hidden agenda letters
which were adjusting to all of my lightheartednesses
you've turned the light off
and my heart became raspy
as you kept introducing roles in this performance
curtain is lowered
I'm bringing us to the end

Burgundy
My dear Burgundy, I heard a purple, splendid tapping
Burgundy you color my heart, my soul
You, Oh!, so you said only this you’re in trappings red
I crave the crimson, cerulean canary yellow this I dread
And the rubies never overdrawing
And the rubies always daunting
Ever so settle,
I am shorn of my bedfellow
Violet. . .
Burgundy you color my heart, my soul, you’re the water in my veins
Sweet purple haze
Remembering many colorful, striking roses
The chromatic colored cultivating
Arose so illuminating!'
And eyes have all and augmenting
As myrtles came launching invigorating
This and a beryl
I have dreamed of the stems
And so I screamed, 'Is that brown?
Burgundy you color my heart, my soul you’re my flower
Eagerly I looked for the claret the pea coat laughed
Orange bled red as brown embraced them
I stand by burgundy she’s all that…better than any fine vintage wine

Break apart all those facile screens
Organized overdrawing of institutional bleeding
Walks through maps and tourism
Pushing hour glasses beyond comprehension
At the ground level, animals are recurring
Human bounty participates at the nexus
As species consolidate their voices
Power and choice conglomerate each family network
Brother in arms bent apart
Relegates to the past where futures amass
The tiny behavioral netting with wet tongues crawling
Putative changes through into city potluck
