My Principal is forever ready to explore
New things from students who implore
And set a new goal for them to outscore
In their own life. He is ready to restore
Intellect and discipline in school therefore
Stands out and administers students’ footsore.
Cherian sir the one who is fighting war
Against anxiety and worry on door,
Which pester children and occasionally gore
Their morale and self-esteem. They spoor
Away from study which he sojourns before
They reach to larger extent and be cocksure.
Never he criticizes without any reason poor,
As he is a positive thinker. All of us roar
Which is pacified by him but for sure.
He is the man of principles and decor
Whose blessings on all of us ever pour.
Days of our youth are long since gone
Yet some things take us back.
Memories impressed forever...
On our mind's Silent Track,
The Lake, the Sand, the Pier so old
The Shore next to the Water so blue.
Remembering the Badminton and Volleyball Games...
And who tried to outscore who.
The Tavern where we sometimes ate
In our festive Summer Shorts.
Walking down the Road at night...
Using only the Beam of an old Flashlight.
Those days of our youth were filled with fun
With our Parents' Love and ceaseless Rhyme.
Though we are no longer Young...
We fondly remember - OUR SALEM TIME.
For a team to compete in a pennant chase,
they need quality at first, second, and third base.
Players are needed that can hit and field.
Three more are required to complete the outfield.
To field line drives or grounders on the hop,
any team also needs a quality shortstop.
No squad can ever be considered great
if they don’t have a good catcher behind the plate.
Any club needs four or five dependable starters.
To finish the game, a good corps of relievers.
A contending team has a fine pitching staff.
Anything less than that would be a laugh.
In order to reach the top position,
a team has to outscore the opposition.
They need more wins than the competition.
This is any team’s annual mission.
The team from Philadelphia is considered great.
They put it all together in 2008.
The season ended with a World Series victory.
That’s what meeting expectations means to me.
Days of your youth are long gone, yet some things take us back . . .

In our mind's silent track.
A cottage was our home for a week, when our parents got the time . . .
It was another world which opened for us,
As we got away from the city's bustle and grime.
We slept upstairs; the attic was warm, as so was the woodburning stove . . .
Breakfast was pancakes, eggs, and sausage,
Prepared with the salt of our parents' love.
The rooms were few but airy, outside was where we wanted to be . . .
For this was our special playland place,
Amidst the trees, birds, and humming bees.
The lake, the sand, the pier so old; a swim in the water's deep blue . . .
Remembering the badminton and volleyball games,
And who tried to outscore who.
Having to walk back on the dark and lonely road at night . . .
From the fish fry, in our festive summer shorts,
Making our way to the cottage, by the beam of an old flashlight.
Those days of youth were filled with fun; carefree days of love and rhyme . . .
Though we are young no longer, we keep treasured memories,
Only in Salem Time.
