I reliably detect it in lush colors
Instigations from a distinct era
this sidereal day, the oscine didn't sing
conceivably it is squandered
In the cognitive hourglass
I scavenge for unmistakable echoes
We jumped off the rainbow
Dark stains hide beneath my lids
they stepped
on pure inner bliss
a single dormant desire dazzled
an emotional need whirling in a whirlwind
pearly flawless passion
the finest word of life: I love

In the tree by my house,
Lived, a black rumped flameback, with its spouse.
Their oscine songs and undulating flight were my daily delight.
Oh! Today it was flicking the rear-view mirror of my car,
May be, it found another song bird inside.
Jabbing and drilling to play or may be, to fight.
Or maybe, those unique rolls and the cadence were to impress the new bride.
Whatever! Its drumming was like a song of a passerine.
Just then the carcass of its partner lay in front of my sight.
Gut-wrenching was the plight of this speechless red hooded flight.
How do I tell it, that its solitude would never subside?
Yet, its spouse is in, there inside and that’s a great respite.

IT’S SPRING THE SONGBIRDS DO SING--
Oh, perching birds Passeriformes on branches sit Passeriformes;
Singing unto me a songs mimetic merrily in vocalization;
Territorial repertoire attracting mating calls characters;
A Chirp Whistles and Beeps Tweet-Tweets cries in formations;
Nightingales and mockingbirds attracts mates or hold territory;
Variety of many oscine songs thrashers and catbirds allegory;
Blue Jays, Mockingbirds kiss and flap their little wings;
The song in this clade signals sexual intentions race;
Sexual selection among songbirds is highly based;
And in Backyard marrying and dancing they do sing;
Alas! Tis the sounds and coming of spring, all the songbirds do sing;
