Another day marches through September
With its ordinaries, its appointments, its glitches --
Hopefully, it will pass as most uneventful,
Not seared in our brain by some tragedy
I’ll settle for a flaccid day of mundanity,
A “live and let live” cliché kind of every day
With a mere sprinkling of raw spontaneity
Slipping into a quiet evening of tranquility.

ordinaries, day, how i feel,

I sat quietly staring out the porthole window
As we were passing over a village in the low hills
A cumulus cloud casting over its ominous shadow
Far below in the silence of the engine’s shrills,
I wondered where those tiny people were going
Beneath the wing nary a songbird nor butterfly
Alone streaking through the frigid air, the Boeing,
Not a face lifted from village below to the sky
Then it was gone, as quickly as I had imagined,
I rummaged through my satchel of ordinaries
Forgetting a whole community of unexamined
Miniatures, no concern for untended cemeteries,
I had long forgotten when the plane descended
My sweet reveries in solitude, my journey ended.

Superb to the nth degree
Pleasant to behold
Exceptional in quality
Candied with extra-ordinaries
Terrifically produced
Above average by far
Crazily addicting
Unbelievable
Lovely to witness
Ageless
Radiant

Give me extraordinary
even ordinaries
give me luxuries
and diamond rings
with a love that I
can cling
seduce me with your LOVE
until I can't TAKE it anymore
snuggle ME with YOUR embrace
WHILE my body anticipates
THE love WE'RE about TO make
TAKE me TO another LEVEL
a LEVEL that's higher then THE sky
then I WILL finally realize
It's your love I can't deny
