Normal Poems - Poems about Normal

New Normal
I'll be fine tomorrow— a whispered promise to no one, to myself. It's a nuisance, a pain in the assiduous characters of my intellect, unrelenting, well-meaning, but delusional, nothing truly unusual. I'll feel fine in a week. Only the weak build paper-thin walls - desperate shields against a crumbling sky. They're cracking, but denial is refuge. For now. Maybe a month or two? Freedom is just a few short stretches...

To Just
Would they notice, If my solace escaped? If my sombre eyes finally pinned shut. Life is just. I must. That fake smile, the painful mask I sew to my skin, Just to feel something. Hanging on by a single thread. Each day tugs at the strings, Test another limit. Is it normal, to just? ...

I miss you - Come home
I'll wake up each morning, A dull ache in my side. I hear the room door open And wait for you to come Throw yourself on top of me, A mumbled good morning or a groan Before insisting we go For those walks you subject me to. We'll hear the tv playing - it's been on for a while, We'll both get up, scurrying...

A Normal Day
Just a fine day, I grab a cup of coffee, Good ol’ coffee, always makes my day, Yet the air feels different, it isn’t the same anymore, I push open the windows, Maybe the gust of fresh air, Will finally soothe my heart? I look outside, The field’s all calm and quite, The clouds dark, It might rain soon, A calm smile, In the hope, Maybe...

Normal People
Normal people come in packs of six Some are born in cardboard boxes In suburbs, in summer, in campers In the middle of the middle night In middle class somewhere on a train Between clicks and clacks on railroad tracks Rich people shower frequently in power In God we trust the upper crust to play Normal people want mobility Up To supper in...

Premium Member A Normal Poem!
i’m going to write a poem that isn’t about you. i’m going to write a poem that doesn’t talk about how you made me feel. i’m going to write one that has a beginning and end; one different from ours. one without an abrupt end and a heart racing start. one that won’t mention the whirlwind...
