The whole bottle gone, not no six pack
At times trying to hit the jack
Eventually it all turns pitch black
Often it's a trap
Continually these b****es laugh
Yet I don't give a crap
Remember it's tit for tat
They always come to me for this and that
Once again I bridged the gap
I do I really get it, everybody is different
Just minding my own business
Keeping it all from a distance
In the end she wants some assistance
Especially when she is given much resistance
Damn, I'm not the one, you're barking up the wrong tree
Quit airing out all your laundry
I'm not Gandhi
For now I'll speak honestly
The source of our creation is beyond me
I'd like to know the answer to that and all these other quandaries
Too often they think they're slick
Yet again just a big prick
Out to nitpick
Yet the first one to dip out and take a picnic
Excuse me if I fidget
Regarding it all, I'm done with it
This is apocalyptic
As well as cryptic

I grump, I slump, I scowl, I'm in a mood
To judge, nitpick and be abruptly rude.
Skies heavy under clouds of concrete gray
Lost are the pinks and lavenders of May.
This winter has worn down my sunny cheer
A season's rain lasting throughout a year.
Manners abandoned as passive and prim
The strain on kinder spirits running grim.
I swallowed full this bitter appetite
Too eager for the apple's poisoned bite.
An ice stone lodges where my heart once bled
Frozen where human charity has fled.
Like princesses asleep in frosty tombs
I wait on kisses dropped from rosy blooms.
At last, a crack, a ringlet of green thaw
Renewal, like clover, fragile and raw.
A rise in warming skies by shifting blues
Outlines the sun's return in heathered hues.
The promise within rainbow spring relies
Upon the wings of snow white butterflies.

I am weak always
Away from blame he sashays
Faults to nitpick
So who is the one sick
It takes all sorts
All with their own torts
Forgiveness is His to give
to those who wish to live

How do I drown out
The dimwitted stupidity
Of your foolhardy rants
The halfwitted folly of your absurdity
The madness of your lunacy
Who in heaven’s name
Do you think you’re fooling
You’re so generous with disparaging remarks
What have you ever accomplished
How dare you pretend to sit up on a throne
While having the audacity to dismantle
To nitpick what others have achieved
Only losers don’t accomplish a thing
Because they’re too busy ranting
Don’t you know
Grownups
Don’t do that
Please
It’s not too late
Grow up, kiddo

Moral Decay
(A Tom Wright opinion)
1-3-2020
Our country is now mired in moral decay,
By the actions of many, being coddled today.
Attitudes are bad and our skins are too thin,
And its all come about because of mankind’s sin.
Two words I hear bandied are racist and bully,
I wonder if many grasp their meaning fully.
Or do they just fit the narrative which they allege,
Some spend each day attempting to drive this wedge.
Social media allows speech not said face to face,
This cowardly behavior is an outright disgrace.
Some nitpick and whine over words in a speech,
Indoctrinating minds with things we can’t unteach.
“what is morally wrong cannot be politically right”
William Gladstone

By the way.
I'm not doing anything later.
If you don't have any plans, why don't you throw on some sweats.
Your favorite ponytail and we'll find something on TV.
A little Netflix and chill.
A little takeout and random channel flipping.
A stimulating conversation about old times. Inspiration.
Our dreams. What we hope to be.
I'll call you soon as I settle in.
Hop out of the shower.
Nitpick about the way that you've been on my mind.
The smell of incense and cocoa butter rubbed smooth on your skin.
It doesn't have to be anything spectacular.
A moment filled with the click of heels.
Just the simplicity of a moment filled with you

Little by little
Bodies of water start to trickle
Because of there being no drizzle
And the sun continuing to sizzle
Droughts
Making it difficult for plants to sprout
Give others the benefit of the doubt
And next thing you know they want to take you out
Good riddance
Forget those that just want to nitpick
And stick their noses in other's business
Make some moves
Underneath the sun and moon
During midnight, morning, evening and the afternoon
Try to improve
Keep on your feet
Make sure you and the ones each get to eat
No respect to those that need to cheat
And only display greed like creeps
Take some risks
And use your gifts
While navigating, hills, straight paths, and twists
Among so many atoms
Make it happen
Regardless of the success and famine
For heaven's sake
Some just want to hate
And continue being fake
I just can not relate

God do you see me for who I am?
Why do I have to constantly prove myself
To you?
Why do you nitpick so much?
Why do you correct me so much?
I can’t deal with constant bombardments God
I am human
And I will make mistakes
I will know that I do something wrong
As soon as I did it
So God I don’t want you to make me pay for it
That is the same thing as saying
You are that and now you pay
Whatever God
I don’t know what You are going to do
But I hope you know the person I am
Deep down
Because I am not going to fight with You God
I am tired
And whatever

We would never know what God wants of us
We know how He wants us to be
We want good things and on our terms
We balk at the slightest oh no
We see but we don’t see
We live but we don’t live
We moan
We nitpick
We know we shouldn’t
We do it anyway
We hear but cast it away
We err
We laugh
We learn
We love
We pray
We hope
We take things for granted
We care
What does God want of us?
