A Sitka Sunset
Churning listless feeble foaming waves
Pods of Humpback whales splash and dive
Reflecting sunset’s waning rays.
As curly crimson clouds arrive,
Far Edgecombe’s volcanic cone
Shines bright in alpenglow, alone.
Cloudy embers ease into eve,
Flushing Ferrari fires from day
As sun dips for its nightly dunk,
In search of Neptune’s treasure trunk.
Bald eagles soar for lofty nests
Atop crowns of gnarled, ancient spruce.
As Sitka harbor lights wink on,
Ships cast lines, mooring for the night,
To wait salmon fishers at Dawns light
Boatsmen stroll the quays to cavort
In taverns nested by the port,
As stirring strings softly serenade
A music festival ode to night.

Nested In the Emotinal Darkness Jesus Set Me To the True Light
Nested in the Emotional darkness;
Lucifer’s lies you entrusted;
Coupled engaged in darkness bondage;
Released today God’s new children now serving
Jesus you are the way, now we serve you always
Grace’s forgiveness faith now loving, today
Released in God’s glory;
Rebirth to tell the story;
Now I am showing the Light;
Now that Jesus has come into my life;

Nested In the Umbrage
laden in the semblance of the lifeless
i curled my mind, nesting in the umbrage
of memories that haunt more than touch
unable to soar within the wind's of time
she begged me to fly, wrap my wings around faith
offer her comfort, make promises she knows i can't keep
yet my words fall darkened like november days upon her deafness
my shoulders carry her weight as her silence screams aloud
i see the bony fingers of darkness pointing
at yet another encompassed in my coalition
she knows he's come for her, i see the fear
in her downcast eyes, as tears trail my back
i pretend to be tethered on strings of hope
ensconce my fears with factitious smiles
praying she doesn't see the forlorn looming
as i suppress my own tears through a stammer of words
while cursing death beneath my breath, unsettled within
i clamber the ground on deflected knees, hands enclosed
in sullenness my words are uplifted on a zephyr of last breaths
bore of a dozen souls lost as i withdrawal in this unrest of fate once more

Matryoshka Nested Microcosms
Everything is a microcosm, like Matryoshka dolls nested.
Pass-a-parcel wrapped, layer on layer, with meanings to be divested.
Solution begets problem after problem en-wrapped, trussed and tied.
Resolution confronted by endless piles of issues, stacked high-plied
Inside each doll, another doll with doll inside, inside.
Each an epitome, a microcosm to be cracked and defied.

Silence, Nested In the Sand
Coming apon, a large desert rock.
Along side, a smaller white rock,
so I thought. A sun bleached skull,
nested in the sand. Silence, with
a gentle desert breeze moving my
many unanswerd thoughts; quickly
race threw my mind. This O'l skull,
once riddled before with dream's,
stolen memories, for ever gone!
A wide open jaw; Imagining, this
poor O'l soul screaming from the
other side, but never heard. So
I walked away, and wisperd a few
words: Rest now, youv'e been found!

Well Nested
In her grandmother's old farmhouse
Amid her poetry ,collections grew
Showcasing imaginatively till
Every room overfilled
Discovered what could remain or to let go
Decisions of compromise ,loss maybe so
Life's lessons she learned,loved and knew
Well nested between white washed walls,
and loving souls taught, lay's an everlasting harvest
Rooted memories hold....
