Musa Poems

MANSA MUSA OF MALI

Greatness was his to inherit
Breaking free from shells of gold
Soaring on wings of diamond so bold
Across the vast and rich lands of Mali.

Well-versed in the culture of his motherland
A gem in trade, a leader in heart
Mansa Musa, a beacon of strength
Guiding Mali to heights untold.

From a young age, like the morning sun
He was ready to rule with grace and wisdom
A king born to lead, to inspire
Musa’s legacy, a story that defies time.

The roads from Cairo to Mecca know a man better
Of wealth and influence, unmatched and grand
Like Freetown’s view from Mount Auroel
His gold and glory will forever be told.

A kind-hearted king, generous and wise
Investing in making people better
Offering food, gold, and shelter
His story will forever grace the ages.

Una Musa

a muse is
thought of
as a god
dess like
being so
i came
to this
city to
see for
myself

my only
sadness
that will
turn to
longing
is that i
must
leave

today

One Musa, One Poet

two twin
beds mean
two singles

my signals
got crossed
i thought

a double
was two
not one

bed so
instead
we asked

for two
sheets
and two

blankets

M and S Or Ms Musa

do you know
how to throw
a lasso

do you not
know how
to tie a knot

knitting a
whip with
your brows

your brows
you can use
to beat me

but treat me
as if you
wanted

me
since
language

of the body
is different
from speech

but
to each
their own

but
you
own

me

Mi Musa

she asked she
said for me to
please por favor
slow down and

she heavily
breathing said
you're doing one
after the other and

as your
Muse i do
suggest that
you slow down

your pace
has both of us
in recessatation
so lets lock lips and

let me give
you the most
ever mind blowing
job poem you'll ever have

Mi True Musa

my muse
is not my
wife

i would
like but
she is

more then
twice my
age younger

a smile
raising
more

warmth
then a
sunrise

eyes
that shine
animalistic

mystically
hypnotizing
me

but breathing
the poetic
breath

that all
great muses
do

and
she
does

2 By Mi Musa

First she says,

you
are not
alone
you
know that
you
can
contact me
i can
only
give you
love

Then she says,

i have a lot
of sincere love
for you without
an expiration
date

Mi Musa

i know a muse
who knows me
when we kiss
she breathes
poetry

with this verb
there's a third
person
present
not me

the poetry
itself not
selfishly
becomes
another

expressively
unendingly
beyond
reality
simply

being
more then
words until
i can't
speak

no need
for the
senses
reel in
dance

when we
kiss
i never
close my
eyes

Jebel Musa

O mystic man,
sorcerer
He with the scar
marked over his heart
Lead the foolish astray,
lead them the false way
Jebel Musa
Born on the night of the blood moon
Practitioner of the dark arts,
conjuring mirages for a fee
You taught the children of Balaam well ...
had them to drink deep from the covetous cistern,
	the corrupting waters
                      drawn
				from
				        the
					      pit of hell
Jebel Musa
Rebel
Jebel
Lead the lost souls down to the empty well
Musa
For money you sold your name
False profits of damnation is your claim to shame —
you refused to let the thirsty prisoners go
Jebel Musa
Born on the day so many people died
at Baal-peor
Bathed in the tears of the widows that cried,
bemoaning the deaths
of their lovers, who loved hearing lies
Today, again you call out once more,
inviting all to your wicked sacrifice
at Baal-peor
To give false worship to the idols,
at the ruins of Shittim’s desolate shore
