Misanthropes Poems

Sometime Hope

SOMETIME HOPE

Sometime in an epoch not too distant from here
Where seas are calmer and people care about each other
And not their pocketbooks or bank accounts
We will have peace

Somewhere in time there may be absolution
but not if it is dreamt of by misanthropes
who begin wars and make victims of us all
yet, even then, the dream of peace will continue

At times when the wind blows cirrus clouds across gray skies
my mind finds hope in that place of peaceful solace within me
that strangely hides in plain sight
like the aged waiting for their daily walk

As adults, we also wait for hope to take us on our daily traipsing
through imaginings of wordy minefields to help us know ourselves
to grasp the essence destruction of war ingrained in us
but our future is out there for us to make better or not

The question is, do we have the intelligence and compassion
required to survive our own conflicted selves?
hope is embedded deep in our core
as adults we use the idea of hope as children do the myth of Santa Claus

But hope is more than a myth; it is our lifeline to the stars.

The Chosen Ones

They were the chosen ones who wore their stars of gold
Whose lives were in the hands of misanthropes

Age did not matter, they took the young and old

Enduring harsh adversity they struggled to be bold
Faithful to the legacy they wanted to uphold

6 Million lost their lives, in the face of dying hope

They were the chosen ones who wore their stars of gold
Whose lives were in the hands of misanthropes.

Pep Squad

PEP squad

Hello, let's cheer for the ones to hear
the gladness of our souls
The voices of the ones who speak
surefooted, strong and bold
The PEP Squad shares enlightended ways
together they bring gladder days
But many wish to keep them down
Crowd them with disdain so loud
Owens, west and wiley know and
Tatum, Scott and Owens glow
with light and grace that can't be drowned
by wicked souls and misery frowns.
The PEP squad shines and brings us hope
Denouncing those known misanthropes
This the land of free and of brave
the PEP quad needs spportive way
For though they do not ever cave
this country is slammed with depraved
Let's cheer them on as they speak and try
PEP quad, PEP Squad detoxify
the nation and the world from strife
Caused by those of of malicious life
Many, many more names I know
who are truly PEP but for space I showed
only a few of the proud people to know
that without them we will NEVER grow
to be as we are enshrined to be
with blessings and tranquility

The Misanthrope Song

(Being a song for misanthropes, or people who have just had a really bad day.)

I hate the world and everyone in it,
I hate the world and everyone here,
I hate the world and everyone in it,
I hate, yes, I hate the world.

I hate the world and the busy-bodies,
I hate their words, they’re so full of crap,
nothing but sound with no wisdom in it,
I’ve hear more than enough crap.

I hate the world and all the dang hipsters,
pretentious bands and unruly beards,
I hate those fools downing in irony,
and I really hate their beer.

I hate the world and its politicians,
lying scum-bags, power-hungry gits,
they do nothing but get in a man’s way,
I’m so tired of their sh-t.

I hate the world and all the damn hippies,
socialist fools detached from the world,
say they want peace but kill if they’re questioned,
their smell make me wanna hurl.

I hate the world and those dumb professors,
in their tower they can’t see how things are,
turning our kids to socialist zombies,
doomed to not go very far.

Ugh…what a world, am I right?
Hey, wait—here comes my German Shepherd!

I love the world and all the dogs in it…

Premium MemberTranquillity

The ultimate compassionate
sensation resonates beyond
daily circumstances, travails

It is calming serenity
tapered by lustful indulgences
tempting peacefulness

You wonder how such blessings
could have been bestowed
upon a common utilitarian

personality rife with imperfections.
It's mind boggling
how forces intermingle

creating spheres of happiness.
It dangles illusions
of utopian perfection

transforming everyday misanthropes
into circumstantial bliss
that encapsulates illustrious

transcendental thoughts.
Mind altering realities
bestowed upon simplicities

of thoughtless ramifications
turning lackluster days
into something magical.

Stale Popcorn Regret

Hello
Something you must know
I once loved you in a way misunderstood by the social and the loquacious
If there was a way to tell you today,
I would push myself forward and not stray or sway
However happiness has given me the `I told you so` look yet again
Loners and misanthropes like me will never ever win
As I drink my green tea ginger ale all blue watching the befallen wind blow,
All I have left in my ruined arsenal is the occasional, simple....Hello....

Youthful Days

The teenaged years are the years
we miss the most,
When friendship was everything,
without it we felt lost,
The yearning to fit in
by saying the right things
brought us temporary happiness
and sometimes grief,
Yet, we always believed we would turn
our awkward lives around, and change from
being the class clowns, rejects or misanthropes,
Our youthful days can never predict the people
we will grow up to be.......
Because with each year that passes our personas
are still evolving slowly.

Save Us From the Godless Liberals

Degenerate liberals are destroying the amber waves of grain,
Using their egregious ramifications,
Against us prodigious conservatives,
They have somehow stolen our Senate.

But we still have almighty George Bush,
With "W" at the helm, how could the country fail?
Even if the senate majority is hebetudinous misanthropes,
They cry for peace and love, though it does not heal all,
This nation has a reputation, and we shall not back down.

Despite these hardships that must be overcome,
America is the greatest land in the world,
And even the Godless liberals can never take that away.
