I'll make this quick, I'll keep it short, you don't have to read a whole sonnet
Yesterday, I got a nametag sticker... but forgot to write my name on it!! :-O

The thing I like 'bout poetry
Not metaphor or simile
Nor metered foot nor probity
I like it when it smiles at me

am I in for a surprise
or am I in for
a disaddointment
I feel disjointed
and my
mind slips away
readied myself for
whatever
sure myself up
for the endeavor
won't let the outcome
have me dismayed

shorts,white socks
sandals and panama-
winter-white legs
no wind,blue skies
dozing in a deckchair-
my afternoon tea stews
hottest day of summer
flying ants on high-
a swallows' drive by
summer-days ever-lasting
moments so tender-tasting

A SONNET-My God for me
My God for me-
set me free
never cease
to bring me peace
My God for me-
eyes to see
truth,from lies
or hope-less lives
My God for me-
life anew
wholesness,joy
none can destroy
My God for me...
Hung on a tree

A crack in the crystal
A chip in the china
maladroitly mishandled
Is there not a certain beauty
to their blemish
Something fascinating in their flaws
Standing out among the others
with a tale to tell
Scars are stories
Engaging epics
There is poetry in imperfection
A sensational sonnet
in my reflection

A bird sings an ode to twilight
Composed just for those purple skies
Tomorrow when dawn breaks light
It will sing a sonnet to sunrise
On summer days when flowers gently sway in the dell
Clouds float by in a periwinkle sky
As summer cast an enchanting spell
While a bird sings a song for a butterfly

GOING FOR GOLD
I am always happy to pay my dues, because I've heard the newsThat arriving on the higher plain, there are far more better views

Sonnet
|
The love she gives to me each day
Is pure, magical, so very true
She breathes a fire deep in my soul
That burns still now a reddish hue
The gift of warmth within her arms
The light of love from in her heart
She gives it all to me each day
A love bequeathed, she does impart
So I say to her this day
I’d have it, just, no other way

At this moment in time , You find me with nothing to Say
As i am sat watching Oprah

All i can empart , Is It's been a Scorching old Day
Now its Time for me to set my head upon the Hey
Per chance to Dream
A revelevant Theme
So i may Pen the world a Sonnet
In the Hope

I landed in Poet's Court
Caught me speeding in my Sonnet
They judged it a rhyme crime
According to the officer's pentometer
I was doing 50 in a 25 word zone
I'm pleading for comma relief
Hoping to be released to free verse
Under supervision of course
Fortunately there's no sentencing in poetry
Maybe they'll just revoke my poetic license

She loved to hear the rain
Nature’s gentle lullaby
Tapping rooftops with its chorus
As she lay in bed
She loved to hear the rain
A sympathetic sonnet
Keeping time with the thoughts
Dancing ‘round in her head
She loved to hear the rain
In solace, I remember
She’ll hear it now forever
Neath the blooms of white and red

O' my Lord
I love her, so
And yet I do not even know?
I know not her name
My future flame
A new, the new love of my life
She's out there somewhere
Someone who will share
Our God, Our Lord together evermore
Until Jesus returns or one of us goes home
Amen

Being is to
becoming
As seedlings are
to blooms
Today as to
tomorrow
Midnight
unto noon
Sparks beget
a brilliance
As fans beget
the flame
Breath into
a sonnet
A child
aptly named
A thought
once spoken freely
The scent
of chosen prey
A smile
when returning
A love
—to give away

roses bloom in June
red white pink yellow petals
love's embracing gift
jasmine whispers soft
sensuous and wild fragrance
Moonlight's gentle touch
birds of Paradise
crowned beaks following the sun
show me divine path
lei of fragrant blooms
adorning necks with love's touch
aloha in air
lavender looks soft & pretty
Daisies bloom to show beauty

Look...
And never see the quiet fires in your eyes.
Listen...
And never hear your sultry sonnet.
Wonder...
And never realize your subtle charms.
The flower never knows its fragrant musk
Nor the wind its swirling caress.
Night never knows its ebony mystique
Nor the waters their placid calm.
And life could never joy...
Without you.

Remember all those rebel poets
and their bizarre ways
How they spooked their stodgy elders
with contra-poetic displays
Dispensing with meter and flow, accent and rhyme
penning metaphor-less, image-free lines
Treating verse as a curse and a sonnet much worse
vulgarities popping up like landmines..
Well, it's gotten worse instead of better

I'm yet in the deep...and I'm stark forlorn
prod the ocean.
he vented, "I'm not Noah."
If you are not, how could it be aired to me?
you are both my sonnet and my book
what is the exposed scheme?
you'd me
the whole was truant
Where will we meet? to perceive or grasp
a stained bruise in yours
garnish yourself with my vicinity
on scheme, the slash fostered a spirit

Italian Sonnet
|
A Sonnet begets life.
Joy, her child, leaves her womb,
bliss that transcends the tomb
and dulls the Reaper's scythe!
Ah! Joy belittles strife;
delight, as from bedrooms
(without impassive gloom),
makes mother of a wife.
When bards compose, ardent
wax the virgin Sonnets
with their pens: eloquent
the more, beauty begets
desire; then makes pregnant
with Joy which ne'er forfeits.

Tinker Bell dwells well in my mind,
Helping me find the words to use,
Endearing enough to help choose
Radiant qualities that blind.
Alluring my mind from behind,
Charm is in the arms of my muse,
Handing me lines I can not lose,
Engaging enough to be kind.
Lyrical miracles flow free,
Qualified to be the unique,
Uncommon qualities we see.
Incredible enough to speak
Notably of? Enough for me!
Noticeable enough to seek!

Sonnet

We walk along a moonlit path
Where, I don't know
I find that I'm afraid to ask
Which direction do we go?
If you would gladly take my hand,
Show me the way to love
Help me somehow understand
The way your hand fits mine like a glove
Then maybe I could steal a kiss
Surrounded by night-blooming flowers
Give me something I can miss
As we waste away the hours
And as we stand an inch apart
I can feel the beating of your heart

Bury me in your own eyes,
For at last we are alone.
No more does my love feed your lies;
It just turns my heart to stone
Bury me in your own heart,
For now your serpent lust can't strike.
Your glare will only cause me to part;
Call it what ever you like.
Bury me in your own skin,
For you are only a reflection.
A fallen nymph for my sin;
A god's second selection.
Medusa, my sweet gorgon love,
Your beauty was taken from above.

the Conqueror Worm Corona Sonnet
Lo, t’s a galla night
within the lonesome later years
when around the world
the dreaded corona virus showed its might
spending fear to those in their later years
that it might take them in the night
that before the sun came up
their time on earth would end up
DEATH IS COMING
TO US ALL
NONE CAN ESCAPE?WE?AWAIT
