My Religion Is Dying

plastic seas sick and

                         dissipating birdless skies

                           swaddle ash and dust

I Advocate Syncretism

Syncretism is pretty much my thing.
I want unity; it is what I sing.

Harmonizing religion and races too.
If we can, will the world remain so blue?

So There Is

Obsessive neurosis
a religion that didn't work....
Hysteria, a work of art
that was not done...
Paranoia is a system
functional that didn't work...

To Look Forward To

Working most days until exhaustion until I retire,
Wasn't much to look forward to outside of religion -
Until I held my granddaughter in my arms the first time.

Oslo 22

Oh how can a religion speak such hatred
Slaying innocent people who bear no ills
Love can and will conquer over such evil
On a day like today peace and love united

Impossible For Man

My God is a big God
Nothing is too hard for Him
He saved me from religion
And washed me of my sin.

He has saved me from my striving
To be the best I can
Working out salvation
Impossible for man.

Just One

Just one religion there is
that one nobody knows
the rest are names thrown
dressed in various costumes
Dancers dress in choice attires
that are countless, arguable
the dance is spiritual
stage is the earthly realm
destination is with whirl wind

Accusations

Politics mirror religion
Few want to concede their belief
While not privy to behind closed doors
A hero may be shown a thief!

So tone down those accusations
The unknown may be known greater
Don't shout too hard your affiliation
It might be, laugh now and cry later!

It's the Bread That Binds

IT'S THE BREAD THAT BINDS

Look at religion like a sandwich, Judaism being one slice of bread, Islam being the other slice of bread, the true God, the goodness in the middle.

Without bread slices,
the sandwich would fall apart,
it's the bread that binds

The X-Ray

Science may surpass mankind
And the universe
But even with an x-ray
We see only the organs and the skeletons
We can't see any truths and logics
But with a book of religion
We will gradually see with our naked eyes
And the book is copyright
No one can pirated
No one can stain

Women

The best human in the creation of nature,
male and female,
Male and female offspring,
The beginning of religion and culture
Men and women,
Women without men,
Men without women,
Both without an arc
Incomplete existence,
Yet why the difference of civilized society
between men and women?

Trigger Law

Snap, crackle, and pop.
The magazine feeds from the top.
Clicks into the receiver,
Just like a true believer,
Locked and loaded.
Safety off.
BANG!
[Long, pregnant pause.]
You WILL be having
Your step-daddy’s child.
Happy fourteenth birthday!

7 Pointers

7 Pointers

In this Lenten time
the Christian tradition
provides 7 signs in
the Gospel of John..
These point to the
Perennial truth of Identity
of each of us
regardless of religion or not..
The Perennial truth is
simply the recognition of
oneself not separated
as world culture insists..
That's it..!
Nothing more..!

Sex and Religion Is a Must

Sex and Religion Is A Must

In the beginning there was dopamine
Dope was the beginning of the word
Is that an indication of anything?
Testosterone joined in
Then you had lust
Religion came along
And you had sin
In the beginning
God made man and woman
Who do you trust?
I guess sex is a must
It gives birth to love and us
So what’s the fuss?

The Devil and I

the devil and I,
We like to play games.
Deceptions the rule,
The tactic is hate.
Our set of morals,
They stray from tradition,
People are jokes,
Drowning in religion.
Pain is a virtue,
And worship's a sin.
I'm fighting a battle
I know I can't win.
But nonetheless,
I dance around lies,
As we play games,
The devil and I.

Day To Day Cures

When your world is topsy-turvy
Opt out -- if you must
But don't stop CHARITY
GIVE a few coins, slices of food,
To the beggars, real or fake
And the universe heals THE HEART
By degrees. College degrees fail
All too often as does "religion,"
Just be human, a mensch, once
A day, at the very least, & "dance"
The blues away (reluctantly, secretly)
