Hey! Hey! Hey! We are going to Timbuktu today!
Sing croaking this is a frog family known as McCray
They pack their red Volkswagen into the ground
It won’t move a bit, steering wheel cannot move around
I cannot let go of anything little sister admits
Daddy gets angry and throws two masculine fits.
Mommy also refuses to take any suitcases down
So they get stuck staying all weekend in their town.
She was the kind of woman we feared
As much as grim reaper or Blackbeard.
Because we did not listen or understand
We thought her intentions were underhand.
She was suspicious because of her pets
We heard that they slept in her house on safety nets
I cannot imagine sleeping a wink with one wolf in the house
Yet she had a dozen, confided a peeping mouse
Let’s call her Wolf Girl, some idiot suggested.
Oh no, I told him, my patience tested.
She is at least twenty-two if she is a day.
She is Wolf Woman, Jimmie McCray!
Tahjnay McCray
You brighten my day.
Sunshine for miles,
Because of your smiles.
Angels they sing
When you do your thing;
Pushing me to what's next
(Unless it is sex.)
Doubtless perfection.
You've won my affection.
Keep brightening my day,
Miss Tahjnay McCray.
Gene Autry, Hopalong
And Tim McCoy
Waved goodby to me
As off into the sunset they go
Wild Bil Elliott, The Lone Ranger
And Tonto were there
As we sat around the campfire
In the night air
Gary Cooper, John Wayne
And Johnny Mack Brown
All of them were serious
Not ones to clown around
Fess Parker, Loren Greene
And James Arness
Knew that next week
We would be their guest
After the movies
We'd rush right home
Get on our horses
And relive the show
But oh how my heart did sing
When Joel McCray
And Vaughn Monroe
Came on the screen
You see all of these men
Were heroes to me
Until that night on the H bar T spread
When I told Billy Beer we would be wed
And That is another story !
A face that was once so young
So youthful
Has turned into one that is seasoned
Golden
Every wrinkle
Represents an experience survived
Overcome
The laugh lines that surround your mouth
Represent all the times you smiled
Laughed
Even though
You have always been someone who gives more than
You received
And you never seem to mind at all
It’s what most love about you
It’s what I admire about you
Though your body has changed over the years
Parts that was once firm and tight
Has transformed into parts that represent
Childbirth
Maturity
Age
Your hair that was once so full and dark
Has altered to a beautiful shade of gray
That symbolizes a life well lived
Your beauty hasn’t wavered
Hasn’t dimmed
I know that the bones that were once so strong
Have begun to ache
Your only wish is that God will take the pain away
He would never give more than you can bear
Though my words can not be a salve to your wounds
I share them for comfort
To show appreciation
For you to hear just how phenomenal you are
My golden Lillie Mae McCray
